I've had the best day with Theo.

It was everything I didn't know I needed and more and it just felt so right.

'Are you going to have to rush off home?' I ask when we start getting close to my place.

When he shakes his head no, I smile. 'Fancy staying to watch a film?'

'Sounds great, as long as it's not Hercules again. How many times did you make me watch that last night?'

'It's a classic, but fine. You can pick the film,' I promise and he just nods his head in agreement.

'Tangled,' he says after a moment, and I look up at him with a look of confusion.

'Tangled?'

He shrugs. 'The songs are good and Flynn Rider is like the most relatable Disney character. He literally questions why everyone bursts into song.'

'He's not the only one.'

'Name one other Disney character that does.'

I pause, 'and what do I get if I do?' I ask, challengingly.

He's not the type to back down from a challenge.

'Whatever you want.'

He's so confident, it's quite funny because I know that his confident bravado isn't going to be there for much longer.

I hold out my hand, and we finalise our deal with a handshake, just like we did in McDonald's earlier when he made me promise not to get him a Christmas present. But I've already thought of about three loopholes around that one.

I don't think I want or need to find a loophole out of this one though. It seems to weigh pretty heavily in my favour.

'McDreamy in Enchanted.'

'That's - that's a live-action! It doesn't count!'

I smirk. 'You said name one other Disney character that asks why everyone is singing. Which I did. At no point did you specify that the character had to be animated.'

'I'm never making a deal with you again,' he pouts, but he smiles when I bump his arm with my shoulder as we walk.

'So, what do you want as your prize then?'

His words are innocent enough, and so is his tone, but all I can think about are all the endless opportunities that winning this bet has given me.

Then we turn the corner and those thoughts are shoved out of my mind.

Because sitting on my doorstep, with an overly extravagant bouquet of flowers, is Isaac.

The air grows thick with tension, but it's a different tension to the one that existed between us earlier, and it only gets thicker when Isaac sees us and stands up.
