Chapter six

Rick was sleeping peacefully when he started to feel little tiny hands patting his cheeks. It took him a few moments to really come out of sleeping. The hands kept patting his checks as a little bum bounced on his stomach. He opened one eye and saw the best thing he possibly could have woken up to. Addison was bouncing on her daddy and tapping his cheeks trying to make him up. She wanted daddy cuddles and refused to let him sleep anymore until she got them.

Rick realised she saw him open his eye and quickly shut it, pretending to still be asleep. Addison got annoyed and started smacking his face harder while pouting. Rick laughed and sat up quickly and laying her back across his legs and started tickling her, she wriggled and giggled so much her face was starting to go red "what are you doing little miss! Waking me, huh? Why you waking me up! Is someone wanting cuddles?" He kept tickling her, loving the sound of her laugh.

He stopped and pulled her up into his arms and started smothering her cheeks in kisses. She tried to duck her head into his shoulder but her daddy didn't stop. After a few more minutes rick pulled back and looked at him. "Morning baby girl. How's daddy's princess. Have we been in here sleeping the hole time?" Addy nodded. She patted her tummy and pouted up at her daddy. She was hungry and hadn't had anything to eat yet.

Rick looked around and saw some cloths for him and addy. He got her changed into a new nappy and clean cloths and then got dressed himself. He got up and unzipped the tent. It was bright outside. He stepped out and turned back to help addy step over the edge of the tent. He took both her hands and started walking her in front of him like he use to do when she was learning to walk. He greeted people as they made there way threw the camp. Everyone greeted him and addy back and smiled down at her, happy to see her smiling so much.

They made there way up to where carol was working with some cloths "Morning" carol greeted them and smiled down at addy who was looking up her daddy excitedly. "There still a little damp. The sun with have them dry in no time" Rick was shocked "you washed my cloths?" Coral waved at addy as she started waving at carol, "well the best we could, the wash board ain't half as good as my old Maytag back at home" rick smiled at her still shocked "that's very kind. Thank you" they smiled and rick continued to lead addy off hoping they might be able to find some food somewhere.

Rick noticed glen and started leading addy over to him. The calm up beside him and addy tried to swing off ricks arms. He smiled down at her before turning to glen. Glen had his arms crossed while watching the others pull his car apart "look at them, voltures... yeah go on! Strip it clean" he finished annoyed. Dale walked passed them and ruffled addy's hair before addressing glen "we need all the fuel we can get. We got no power without it. Sorry" he patted glen's arm before moving on.

Glen said to rick "thought I'd get to drive it at least a few more days." Rick smiled "maybe we'll get to steal another one some day" he patted glen's shoulder before he continues to lead addy around in front of him. She was still trying to swing from his arms so he started to swing her forward every couple of steps. She shrieked in joy. They made there way over to where Lori and Carl where.

Lori greeted rick still angry about the night before "morning officer." "Hey" Rick replied hesitantly. They need to have a serious talk and he's dreading her reaction. Lori knew he wanted to talk about what she said but she didn't care. "You sleep ok?" She asked trying to take a jab at him for not sleeping beside her. He was trying to hold his temper in front of everyone "better then I have in a long time." He said taking a jab right back at her.

Rick didn't want to fight with her about this right now so he changed the subject "I've been thinking... about the man we left behind." Rick watched as addy let go of his hands and quickly went over to Carl and hugged him from behind. Carl quickly turned and pulled her into his lap so she could see what him and Sophia where doing.
