Chapter Nine

Rick, Shane and dale make there way back to the camp to find everyone sitting around the fire pit. Rick walks up behind his family and leans down to see how addy is doing. Addy is fast asleep again. He's still really worried but he also knows that when she has bad episodes, she sleeps a lot. He's hopping she will be able to stabilise herself deep down he knows she needs medicine.

Shane gets everyone's attention "I've ah,.. I've been thinking about ricks plan. Now look,there's no  garenties. Either way, I'll be the first one to admit that. I've known this man along time, I trust his instincts. I say the most important thing here is that we need to stay together.... so those of you who agree we leave first thing in the morning. ok?"

Everyone looks around at each other. Lori looks at rick confused that Shane was all of a sudden agreeing. Rick gives her a nod then stands up and goes to grab addy who is starting to stir awake again. "Any can'd fruit left? I want to see if I can try to get her to eat while she's awake." Lori carol nods and quickly grabs the can she had put aside waiting for her.

Addy blinks her eyes open and try's to look around but she just feels so sick and starts to sniffle. She doesn't like it at all. Her chest is hurting really bad and she can't take in a full breath. She grabs hold onto the fabric her head is touching and starts rubbing her face back and forth. Rick try's to bounce her hoping to stop her from crying.

Addy looks up and see's she was in daddy's arms. And grabs tighter and trys to pull herself up on him but her little arms shake. "Shush baby is ok. Daddy's right here. We are gonna get you some help as soon as we can." He lifts her up so that she's more sitting on his lap and she looks up at him with half closed watery eyes. She runs at her face with a first. She feels something touch her lip and turns away.

"No, no come on baby girl. I need you to eat for daddy. Just a little bit then you can go back to sleep." Addy whines slightly but opens her mouth and slowly chews on the piece of fruit. Rick waits patiently for her to finish that bit before bringing more to her mouth. She whines every time but he manages to get her to eat half the tin. He hands the rest back to carol so she can do what she needs to with it.

Addy goes back to trying to rub her face on her daddy's shirt. She's always done this when she feels horrible. Rick wraps his arms around and and bounces his knee trying to keep her soothed. Addy lays her head against his shoulder and just watch's everyone moving around the camp. She's not sure what there doing but she wish's she's could be doing it to but she's too tired. Eventually she nods back off so rick walks back to there tent to lay her down and start pack with Lori and Carl.

Addy is still sleeping but can feel herself being moved around so she whines and smacks her hands around hitimg something. Rick chuckles when he little hand hits his cheek "shush addy, it's just daddy. We are leaving now. I'm just gonna get you in the car." Rick walks towards the back seats where Carl, Sophia and carol are sitting.

They took Oi the baby seat so there was more room and the also didn't want addy stuck strapped into her car seat in case of an emergency. Carol holds her arms out ready to hold the sleeping child. Rick shifts addy up and gives her a bunch of kisses on her forehead and actully here's a slight giggle from her before he hands her to carol. Everyone that herd the giggle smiled, happy to hear the sound.

Rick jumped in the front seat and everyone starts there cars and pulls out of the camping area...but no one is there to see the pile of empty canister's, broken needles and broken bottles of addy's medicine that had been hidden under the RV.....

They've been driving for hours, addy has been slipping in and out of sleep. Right now she's awake and about ready to throw a fit. Carol is trying her best to keep addy calm and comfortable but addy isn't ready to cooperate. She is feeling worse and really hot. All she wants to do and cuddle up to her daddy, he always makes it all better but no one will let her.
