Trapped in a Zoom Call ↬ Jason Waud

"Come on Aurora, your classes are about to start!" The woman shouts after her daughter who is running around in panic. Her younger sister, calmly seated on the couch, watches in amusement.

"I know, mom! You shouting it at me won't change anything." Aurora shouts back as she grabs her water bottle and runs to her room. Her little sister, having nothing else to do, follows right behind, making sure to shut the door as before throwing herself on the bed.

"I wonder how long it will take for your to get your things together and stop being an absolute mess." Cat muses as she pets the puppy that had been peacefully sleeping before they entered the room. Aurora glares playfully at her sister, as she opens her laptop.

"And I wonder how long it will take you to realise you have your own room to go to." Aurora points out, causing Cat to roll her eyes and take a pillow to throw at Aurora, who is hit right in the face just as she's typing the code for the Zoom meeting. Aurora shrieks before throwing the pillow back at her. "Could you stop?"

"No thanks." Cat giggles in amusement, before putting the puppy on her lap. Aurora goes back to typing in the code, before pressing enter. The screen loads as she awaits to enter the Zoom call. Taking a look at the time, Aurora winces as she notices she's ten minutes lates. "What class is it anyway?"

"It's French." She replies, just as the screen finishes loading to reveal what is not her French class. Aurora's eyes widen as she's met with the sight of five boys. Cat noticing the look on her face takes a peak at the screen.

"That is not French class." Cat points out as picks up the puppy and walks to stand behind Aurora.

"Someone joined our Zoom call!" A boy with blonde curly hair points out, making one of the boys with black hair facepalm.

"No, a ghost did." Black haired boy says sarcastically, and immediately chaos breaks out as 4 of the boys start shouting at each other through the screen. There was just one of them that simply sighed and shook his head, he was sitting next to the guy with black hair and it didn't take long for Aurora to realise they were twins. They seemed like polar opposites, while one had black hair and screamed bad boy vibes, the other had blonde hair and seemed a lot more like a softie.

"Okay, so I'm gonna go. I have class." Aurora says softly, making them all stop and focus on her again. "So, yeah. Bye."

"No, wait. Why don't you stay?" The curly haired guy says, making Aurora look at him strangely.

"Why would I stay? I have a class, which I am late for and I don't know you guys." Aurora asks in confusion, a pause of silence settles between them, when all of a sudden the blonde twin seems to have an idea.

"You could stay because of..." He trails off as he picks something up on the floor, before bringing it up on the screen, making both Aurora and Cat gasp. "...puppy?"

"Oh my God, is it a he or she?" Cat asks immediately, as she leans closer to the screen to take a look at the puppy.

"It's a he. His name is Apollo." The blonde twin grins happily, while the two sisters gush over Apollo.

"This is Thor, our little baby." Aurora says just as Cat shows the puppy to the camera for the boys and all five aww at the sight of the little husky.

"Oh my god, Apollo and Thor can be best friends." The black haired twin says, making the other twin nod in agreement, clearly excited by the idea. "I'm Joe by the way, and this is my twin Jason."

"I'm Adam!" The curly haired boy exclaims with a wide grin, making Cat chuckle softly.

"And I'm Ryan."

"And I'm Fash." The last boy says, making Aurora smile in greeting.

"I'm Aurora and this is my little sister Cat." Aurora says, as she looks up at her sister for a second before looking back at the screen.

"Nice to meet you girls." Jason smiles happily at them, a small blush forming on Aurora's cheeks.

"Anyway, I'd love to stay but I actually have maths class in ten minutes and since I just basically missed French, I can't miss that either." She chuckles softly, making Cat snort as she moves back to sit on the bed.

"Oh sorry about that. Hey why don't you join us later... after class. We'll probably be still on." Joe suggest, making Aurora nod in agreement.

"Sure that should work." She says, before taking a look at the time. "Anyway, I'll see you guys later then. Bye" All five boys say their goodbyes before she disconnects from the Zoom call making sure to write the code down, to remember for later. Aurora turns her chair around and reaches for Thor, who is given to her as soon as she reaches out. "They seems nice."

"The Adam guy is kinda cute." Cat muses, making Aurora shake her head in amusement.
