With a deep breath, Aurora leaves her last class for the day. She leans her head against the back of her chair. She never hated anything more than online classes or quarantine, she wasn't sure which she hated more. It had now been two hours since she had accidentally gotten in a Zoom call with five strangers. She hadn't stopped thinking about that moment since, and she really wanted to join the call, but they probably weren't online anymore. Or maybe they were. She sits up straight and types in the code for the Zoom call. With anticipation she watches as the call tries to connect. Holding her breath, she doesn't know what to expect.
"Hey Aurora!" Adam greets her as soon as she is connected, making her let out the breath she had been holding. "Took you forever to come back."
"Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't expect you guys to still be here." Aurora admits as grins happily.
"Well, not all of us stayed." Jason points out, making her notice that Ryan and Fash had left. It was just Jason, Adam and Joe left, although Joe had moved to sit on the bed in the background. "Although, your sister also left."
"Yeah. She has history now. I think." She explains, as she tugs a few strands of her hair behind her ears.
"Did she take Thor with her?" Jason asks, making Aurora shake her head as she stands up and walks up to her bed, before picking up Thor and going back to her seat.
"He is still here with me." Aurora hums as she looks down at the little husky as he playfully tries to bite the strings of her hoodie.
"He is so adorable. Wait let me go get Apollo." Jason says in excitement as he leaves, making her giggle.
"As you may have noticed, my brother adores animals." Joe says as he stands up and takes Jason's spot.
"I do too. We actually have little ant farm." Aurora muses, making Adam eyes' widen in interest at the mention of the ant farm.
"You guys have an ant farm? Like proper ant farm, with sand and everything?" Adam asks, making her hum as she nods.
"Who has an ant farm?" Jason asks as he reappears on the screen, sitting down next to Joe with Apollo in his arms.
"Aurora. She's gonna show it to us." Adam says in excitement, causing Aurora to giggle.
"Maybe another time." Aurora says as shifts in her seat to get more comfortable.
"Okay, give us your phone number and we'll call you another time." Jason says, making a blush rise to her cheeks.
"Okay. Do you something to write?" She asks, making him grin as he nods. She tells him her phone number and he quickly writes it down on his phone.
"Damn, brother. That was very smooth." Joe nudges his twin playfully as Jason dials the number to test it. Aurora's attention shift to her phone as an unknown number appears on her screen. She picks the phone up and shows it briefly to the camera.
"Got it. Seems like we have the same area code." She muses as she puts her phone down and pumps Thor up closer.
"We could be neighbours." Joe gasps, making Aurora raise an eyebrow.
"I don't think so. I know my neighbours and they're a lovely elderly couple, who don't have kids." She points out.
"Okay, but we live in the same state, which is already great. Once Quarantine is over, we could meet!" Jason exclaims in excitement, making her giggle.
"Sure, why not." Aurora smiles, happily. She notices the time and sighs. "I"m have to go guys. I still have a lot of work to do."
"Okay, bye. I'll text you tonight." Jason smiles and uses Apollo's paw to wave at her.
"Okay. Talk to you later."
"Bye Aurora." Both Joe and Adam say at the same time, making her smile and wave goodbye at them, before disconnecting from the call. She looks down at Thor and scratches him behind the ears.
"I don't want to do homework, do you?" She asks, but all he does is lick her hand, making her sigh as she takes a look at all the work she has to do.
