eclipse part 12

“get in the car we are leaving “
I snap out of my thoughts to jaebum’s voice. I get in still thinking about whether I forget to bring something or not.
“stop worrying so much we are not going to dessert you can buy anything from there too”
I glare at him . He is the one who suddenly wants to go to his grandparent’s house saying ‘pack your things for three days” I only had hour god know what I have missed .
It takes 2 hours ride to his grandparent’s house . It’s bit country side as we drive through almost empty roads and it’s surprisingly relaxing . We listen to soft melody on the radio while we fell in to a comfortable silence. I glance at jaebum . His eyes are fix on the road but his face some what looks clam . I can’t help but wonder my eyes through his side profile. His bangs has fall to his eyes almost covering them and every now and then he flips them back to get a better view .and even though he is relaxed I can clearly see his sharp jaw line . He is a handsome one indeed .I glance back at empty road breaking my trail of unnecessary thoughts . We pass a large and brilliant blue lake and I held back the urge to make him stop the car to get a better view of it.
We reach the house in no time. He lead me to house and middle age lady welcome us immediately .
“welcome Mr and mrs lim”  she greet with a deep bow
“where is the old lady” jaebum ask while looking for someone .
“oh she wouldn’t be able to work anytime soon mr. Lim she is getting treatments . I am here as her replacement . Please let me know anything if you want” jaebum nod at her and made his way to upstairs.
I made my way to the living room and surprise to see the familiar photo hanging on the wall . Right! I didn’t see his grandparents .
“where is his grandparents “ I ask
“oh I heard they passed away years ago mrs. “ I look at her shocked . Oh i didn’t know that.
“oh really “ if it not from her I would have ask jaebum about this
“ take a rest mrs. I will prepare the lunch” 
She said while guiding me to the room . jaebum is already there flipping some old books with a found smile on his face . He didn’t acknowledge my presence so I head for a quick shower.

After lunch i thought it would be good if I take a look around and get ready to go alone knowing fully well jaebum wouldn’t bother to come along but to my surprise he instead that I shouldn’t wonder alone and probably get lost if i do and decided to be my company . We went to the small town . There isn’t much but It s good enough for me . Jaebum looks like he is in a good mood too as he keeps telling things about the town here and there .
“you looks like you have lived here for a quite time” I ask him while looking at some hand made bands.
“Yeah I grew up here “ he answer with a smile and I look at him with big eyes
“oh really for how long “
“mm... let’s say that I spent my entire childhood here” he said while placing a band on my hand
“you need to buy at least a one if you keep looking at them” he said while paying
He actually buy something like this . I smile at his gesture.
We stop at a little cafe . The smell of freshly baked bread and cookies take me as soon as we open the door to the cafe . It smell so good that I want to bottle up and take it home with me. Jaebum place the order and we take a seat outside of the cafe. Little flower pot was place in the middle of the white table.  I look around feeling satisfied .
“you like it in here don’t you” jaebum ask with a soft smile. Well he is smiling a lot today. It makes me feels warm inside looks like we can spent a day without getting on each other’s nerves 
“ well. Yeah it’s been a while I have been away from home.... like a trip or something “ I said hoping he would get what I mean and he nod his head along to my words and give me a small smile. We look at each other for a while and it turn to awkward silence immediately since non of us couldn’t come with something to start a conversation on I look down at my hands . Jaebum clear his throats to say something but rudely  interrupted by a stranger .
“well well looks who is here boys” someone said behind me making jaebum’s once soft eyes turn to a hard glare . I turn my head to look . Man probably in his late 20 s with a sickening smile met my eyes . He stood there with two other men .
“where have you been we missed our old friend didn’t we boys” he said while laughing with his friends ??. I raise my eyebrow at jaebum . Who are they
“mind your own business jaesung” he said while giving me a glance.judging by the way jaebum’s shoulder stiffs  I can clearly tell that he is tense and this jaesung guy isn’t his friend for sure.
“ no need to be rude now huh “ he said with a smirk and trail his eyes to me.
“who is this beautiful ..... yah aren’t you gonna introduce her to your friends ” he said while running his eyes all over me. I shift little feeling uncomfortable by his stares. Jaebum glare hard at him and reach to hold my hand across the table and stand up while pulling me up with him.
“ like I said it’s non of your business” he said while pulling me with him . We didn’t even get to taste our coffees . I turn back to glare at them feeling annoyed but only to notice that they start to follow us . Well that’s not good
“mmmm jaebum “
“what”
“they start to follow us “
“what “ he look back at to my words and clench his jaw
“keep walking don’t mind them”
We didn’t get to get away from them as they start to calling names and some inappropriate remarks to Tigger jaebum and that exactly what happen i could feel heat from his body and his grip on my hand tighten and he stop on his track. I look back at him there no way he gonna start a fight for this right. They are not kids they are adults and calling names ??.
Jaebum look back at me and turn around cracking his knuckles and i look at him with are-you-crazy- look. he can’t match up with them ,there are three of them and it’s not a fair fight.
“oh hoo you gonna fight big man . .. come on show us what you got” they keep provoking him knowing he will lose it in anytime. I have to knock some senses to jaebum before he do something stupid.
“jaebum hey... it’s not the time to play the hero okay you can’t match up with them let’s just go” I said try to drag him with me but he stood glue to the ground fixing his eyes on them. Is this man for real.
“jaebum please think rational let’s just go you gonna get us in a trouble come on you are not alone “ he look at me annoyed
“are  you looking down at me” is that all he can think
“no I’m trying to knock some senses to your thick head .. you are not a kid to go around and pick a fight let’s go”
“you don’t know him. He has some unfinished business with me he won’t stop until he taste something “
“jaebum look you are not alone I am here too do you want me to get hurt too” I ask him angrily . He blink at me and close his eyes .
“oh right.. I’m sorry .. but I don’t think they will let us go easily “ I look around
“how well do you know this town”
“ I used to know the every corner ... why” he said confusedly
“then run let’s run...”
“what”
“come on” I said while dragging me with him and breaking to a marathon .
After registering what’s happening jaebum take the lead and hold my hand tightly while pulling me with him. I look back at and saw them still trailing us . I should be afraid but I feel overly excited . I look at jaebum and he has a wide grin plaster on his face. We take a turn and jaebum pull me to a old store with him. We hid behind the racks . He pulled me close to his chest keeping me in a place and signal me to be quite until they pass us . We wait for a while and broke in to a giggling mess. As soon as our eyes met. Never in my life I had done something like this .
“I think they missed us” he said checking from the window and look at me with a smile.
“you did great back there... we would be in a trouble if not” he said shoving his hands in his pockets .
I look around and notice that we are in a book store. Actually back of book store .
“we should go before the owner find out we broke to his store”
“don’t worry I know this place “ I raise my eyebrows
“I used to come here a lot when I was a kid” he said while looking around with a new found expression .
“ wait for me I will come back in seconds “ he said and disappeared through the door
I run my eyes through some shelves . This place hasn’t repaired in a while .
I saw jaebum talking to old man and made his way towards me after bidding him goodbye .
“let’s go home you must be Exhausted from all the running “ he said taking my hands in his free arm .
