Eclipse - arranged marriage Jaebum

Eclipse part 32

I walk back to the group with Mark following behind.  My eyes fell on Jaebum who is standing quietly in the middle of group not paying attention to the surround. Jaemin is still beside him trying to catch his attention but failing miserably.
“hey” Mark said informing our presence to the group and instantly Jaebum’s dark eyes fell on mine. I frown seeing his eyes. they are somewhat sad? I was about to talk to him but he shifts his eyes away from me to jaemin who is busily flirting with him.
slow music starts to play inviting everyone to dance and I smile seeing BamBam and Lisa walking to the dance floor with few couples joining them. My eyes shift to jaebum. I wonder what’s happened to him.He is clearly ignoring me or that’s what he is trying to do.
“oppa let’s dance “jaemin said taking jaebum’s hand. well his wife right beside him!
“no” jaebum said irritatingly taking his hand
“c’mon jaemin Yoojin is here too you gotta tone it down” Jackson said with a smirk
“oh, right right so Yoojin you don’t mind if I take oppa to a one dance right” she asked with her fake smile and I look at Jaebum to see his reaction. He is looking at me with hard eyes clearly telling me to say no to her and I raised my eyebrow at him.
“oh, it’s okay jaemin. c’mon jaebum she is just asking for a one dance” I said smiling at jaebum and he smirk turning his head to side.
‘see oppa please don’t say no let’s go’ she said dragging him along with her and I watch him following her without a word. So he left me to dance with another women well done jaebum . what am I thinking I practically give them permission but still he could have refused?
I watch them swaying to the beat with Jaemin clinging her body to jaebum while his arms hanging loose on her back.
‘so yoojin would you like to dance’ mark said offering his left hand for me in a playful manner.
‘yeah why not’ I said laughing at him and letting him escort me to the dance floor.
‘what happened between you two? ‘He asked right away and I look at him with a raised eyebrow.
‘c’mon yoojin anyone can feel the tension between you two what’s happened cause last time I checked you guys were lot closer.’ I let out a sigh. there is nothing to hide he is Jaebum’s best friend after all.
‘I don’t know really, he acts like he has feelings for me and then suddenly started to ignore me like he lost all the feelings. ‘
‘just like that’ he asked taking a step back and I nod while following his move.
‘well I don’t think so’ he said shifting his eyes behind me with a smirk.
‘what?’ I asked turning around to see but he signals me not to
‘stay still’ he said fixing his eyes back at me with a mischief glint in his eyes.
‘what is it mark?’
‘Play along laugh’
‘what’ I asked surprisingly what is there to be laugh at? Mark pull me closer to him while rolling his eyes at me.
‘I swear you and Jaebum has so much in common’ he said under his breath but I heard it anyway.
‘yah I heard it’
‘you know at one time I threw a laptop at BamBam ‘he said making my eyes go wide.
‘why would you do that?’
‘what else he talked too much nonsense and I couldn’t hold it back’ he said nonchalantly making me laugh.
‘poor BamBam’ I said between my laughter and mark kept telling me silly things to make me laugh.
‘omg Mark where all those things coming from, I can’t stop laughing’ I said leaning my head forward to hide my smile but ended up in his shoulder since we are still in dance position.
‘OH, here he comes’ Mark said but before I asked who Jaebum stand next to us with a furious look on his face. What’s with him.
‘May I dance with my wife if you done having fun together’ He asked looking at mark while sliding his hand on my waist pulling me closer.
‘sure, whatever you want buddy’ mark said handing my hand to Jaebum
‘Mark’ I call his name but he left while mouthing ‘good luck’ to me.
‘I think you had too much fun without your husband’ Jaebum said pulling me toward him with both of his hands on my waist.
‘well yeah I had at least I have your friends to keep me company ‘I said placing my hands on his chest while looking at him. His eyes are dark with anger.
‘oh, really so you enjoy being with other men’s rather than being with your husband?’ he asked spinning me around and pulling back to his chest making me gasp.
‘what are you saying’ I asked pushing his chest a little. we are standing too close that even our noses are touching. I keep my eyes on his shoes unable to look at his burning eyes. If it’s not for the music and chattering in the room I’m afraid he can clearly understand how fast my heartbeat.
‘look at me I asked you something?’ he said and I look at him with a glare.
‘you were with a woman who is not your wife but you see me getting angry at you hmm beside that I didn’t dance with someone who is clearly flirting with me’ I said looking at him with a fake smile.
‘very well I wonder who gave them permission to do so’
‘well what should I do when my husband is clearly ignoring me and acting like I’m not even here. You didn’t even look at me properly until now what’s wrong with you’ I asked feeling the burn in my eyes. I look away from him trying not to cry in the middle of happy faces. We are still standing in the embrace of each other but the dance is long forgotten.
‘I wouldn’t do that if you ‘he stops his sentence in midway looking at me with both anger and hurt.
‘if I what jaebum?’ I asked looking at him with glossy eyes I had enough of his behavior.
He tightens his hold on me while gazing down at me and I kept staring at his eyes for an answer without breaking the eye contact. I won’t let him play with my feelings I’m hurt and confused all thanks to him.
Sound of clapping brought us back and we part from each other to notice that the music has stop and everyone looking at the soon to be married couple.
  Jaebum let go of me completely and dash toward somewhere in the crowd ignoring my calls.
