Staring at the door in front of me I sigh for the ninth time. it’s been a week he started to spend his time in his office more than this house. coming back late at night and leaving the house early in the morning. I haven’t seen him for the whole week and if it’s not for the crumble sheets beside me I wouldn’t even know whether he coming home or not. I thought he would be home today since it’s Saturday and he prefer to work in home today but guess I’m wrong. grabbing my coffee mug, I head to the kitchen. ‘Mrs. Im,’ turning around to the voice I raised my eyebrows seeing yugeyom holding a nicely wrapped black box along with a envelop on top of it. “yes, yugyeom what is it” “Mr. jaebum asked me to deliver this to you. please be ready at 6 “I look at him with furrowed eyes since jaebum didn’t inform me. Sensing my confusion yugyeom place the box on the coffee table and place the envelop signaling me to open it with a smile and he left with a slightly bow. Opening the envelop I take the card inside of it. It’s an invitation to an engagement party. I widen my eyes seeing a familiar name on it. Well the last time I saw him he didn’t look ready for a marriage. smiling to myself I unwrap the box opening it to reveal a beautiful off shoulder dress in royal blue. touching the fabric in my hand I smile to myself already liking the dress. Did Jaebum choose this himself? I began to dress when it’s hit to 4 giving me enough time to be ready when jaebum comes home. Taking quick shower, I carefully slip in to the beautiful dress laying on my bed. Running a hand through the material I look at the mirror in front of me. It fits so well to my curves making me confident. Applying light makeup, I put my hair in to a loose bun. Opening a black velvet box, I stare at the simple yet elegant necklace. Paired with earrings in same design. putting them on I stared at myself quite happy with the outcome. Can’t wait to see his reaction. Knock on the bed room door break my trance and I turned to see jaebum standing at door. He must have changed before coming home. “are you ready” “yeah’ I said tightening the straps of my heels. grabbing my phone, I walk to the door with a smile. ‘hi I didn’t see you for this whole week’ I said standing next to him. His gaze shift to me for a second then back at the door. ‘yeah I was busy now let’s go’ he said and walk downstairs without sparing me another look. I thought he would say something about the dress or how I look. ‘Did you choose the dress for me’ I asked sitting beside him in the car. ‘No I asked someone else to pick it. Do you think I have time for that? ‘he said looking at me with a bored expression and my smile drop in instant. well he could have lied ‘don’t ask question if you don’t like the answers’ He said noticing my mood change. The whole ride is left with a silent. I tried to talk with jaebum but he is so busy on his laptop and didn’t even acknowledge my attempt. if he wants to work so much, he should have stayed in his office. We finally reach our destination and I get off thanking yugyeom for driving us. We walk inside side by side and I look at jaebum for a brief movement. I can tell something off with his behavior. I was just trying to made a simple talk with him but he made it like I’m disturbing him. We walk toward the couple in front of us who are busily chatting with the others. ‘oh look who finally show up’ Jackson said nugging Bambam on side and he turn around with a beautiful girl . ‘Hyung welcome oh Noona hi you look beautiful’ Bambam said hugging both of us. ‘congratulations on your engagement Bambam ‘I said hugging him back and turn to the beautiful girl beside me. ‘hi congratulations I’m yoojin’ I said to her ‘thank you unnie I’m Lisa bambam told me about you nice to meet you’ she said coming forward to give me a hug and I accept her with a smile. ‘hey yoojin ’ deep voice came behind me and I turn around to see Mark standing there with a smile. ‘hi Mark it’s been a while’ I said accepting his hug feeling a pair of eyes on my back. ‘you look gorgeous ‘ ‘thank you’ I thank mark at least there are some people who can complement others. ‘hello to you too Mark ‘ jaebum said with a glare . what’s wrong with this guy. ‘hey man didn’t see you there’ mark said and pull jaebum to a friendly hug. ‘yeah yeah you were so busy looking at my wife’ he said passing his glare to me. I rolled my eyes and look away from him. ‘well can’t help she looks beautiful’ mark said playfully and went to Bambam and Lisa. I look at jaebum with a raised eyebrow and he shift his gaze to side. I was about to talk to him but a high-pitched voice beet me to it. ‘jaebumoppa ‘ I turn around to see a young girl approaching us . well actually jaebum since she pass me like I’m invisible. She clung her self to jaebum and I almost laugh at the way jaebum shrugged her off. Her face turned to sour but quickly put a smile covering it. ‘Hi oppa it’s been a while since the last time I saw you’ ‘yeah jaemi didn’t know you would be here’ jaebum said fixing his coat and looking at me. ‘meet Yoojin my WIFE’ he said coming to me and pulling me to his side with a hand around my waist . She looks at me head to toe with a frown. ‘hi I’m jaemin you probably heard about me from Jaebum oppa ‘she said faking her smile but anyone can see right through her. ‘well he has never mentioned you though’ I said looking at jaebum and he shake his head annoyingly. ‘strange we were friends since high school right oppa’ he turns to jaebum with a smile and went to stand beside him. ‘oppa how do I look’ she said clinging to jaebum’s arm again. I look at jaebum to waiting for his reply. ‘you look beautiful Jaemin ‘he said with a sigh tired from her already but still he can complement others but can’t even look at his wife for a movement. ‘Thank you oppa I like this color so much it’s suits me right’ she said showing her pink dress and I rolled my eyes and left them to grab a drink. Taking a sip of my drink I look at the new couple with a smile. Lisa is laughing something to bambam said and bambam stood beside her with an adoring look. Well anyone can tell they were in love. ‘hey what are you doing here alone ‘mark said standing beside me and follow my gaze to see the couple. ‘They look happy together’ I said with a smile ‘they should be they are best friends since childhood’ he said taking a drink from a waiter ‘then I hope it’s not arranged ‘ ‘well kind of their marriage is arranged by parents but they start to date before that so it’s a win win for everyone’ of course people in this field think like that . ‘well they must be happy to know that they are going to marry the person they love’ I said ‘what about you do you think love marriage are better than arranged ones?’ “well aren’t they are everyone likes to marry someone they love’ I said not knowing there is someone listening to our conversation.
