chapter 10

i ran inside the house and went to grab my purse as johnny stopped me

"where are you going?" he asked me

"um, im going to see soda" i smiled at him

"well, what about the socs? bob and randy?" johnny asked

"johnny its okay, ill be alright" i assured him as i stepped outside

i really shouldnt worry right? they wouldnt want to attack me twice? right?

i felt the sun burn across my skin as i started walking to the DX where i could talk to soda

i stepped onto the sidewalk as i observed my surroundings, the bar, dairy queen, kids smoking behind it, some girls heading into a clothing store.

i turned the corner as i found myself at the DX and walked in.

I put my elbows on the countertop and leaned over it as i spotted steve putting a stack of magazines away

"hey steve"

"shit!" he yelled as he hit his head on the countertop

"im sorry steve! did i scare you?"

"well shoot dove" he cringed as he rubbed the back of his head

"wheres soda?" i asked as i bit my lip in quite concern of steves head

"hes out back workin' on a car, but hey, no macking, savvy?" 

"yes sir" i said before i opened the door to see soda under a car

"hey sodapop" i smiled

"ow!" soda yelped

"are you okay?" i asked as i kneeled down by the car

"yeah, i just hit my head" he smiled as he slid out from under the car

"okay" i said unsure

"whatcha doin here?" he asked as he went over to the shelf and threw the rag onto it

"well i just wanted to talk, i guess" i said as i walked in front of him

i saw him gulp and scratch his neck

"um, yeah, what about?" he said as he bit his lip

"well, um" i said nervously as i took a step closer

i fiddled with the hem of my skirt and thought in my head

what am i exactly suppossed to say?

he hovered closer to me as i looked into his lively blue eyes and then looked to his lips

"gosh damn it" i muttered before i pressed my lips into his and placed my hand on his chest

he pulled away and he looked suprised

oh my gosh he probably just wanted to be friends! not for me to kiss him!

i blushed and just wanted to run out the door, but before i could sodas eyes met mine

he yanked off his hat and threw it took the ground and ran over to me, placing his hands under my jaw and pressing his lips against mine

i wrapped my arms around his neck and shivered at his touch

i felt my knees buckles as he slowly pulled away and smiled

"wow" i gasped before traveling my hands down his chin and bringing his lips closer to mine as the door slammed open

"dove? what does savvy mean to you? " steve asked me

"sorry!" i said before pulling away from soda and running towards the door

as i left i looked behind me and saw soda smiling as he quickly winked

hi!! i have not updated this story in a long time and i hope no one has given up on it!

i lost my notebook with all my ideas and notes for this book and finally found it!!

so yay!

 i know this is short so i will update a longer one later today
