Chapter 10 ♡: Telling Levy

"Lu, tell me what's really going on."

Levy crossed her arms sternly.

"Okay fine, Lev. C-can we step outside...?" Lucy asked quietly. Levy nodded and followed The blonde outside the apartment. They walked down the front steps outside the apartment door and stopped at the base of the stairs. Lucy leaned against the building, taking a deep breath.

"So..." The blonde averted her gaze to the ground. "Please don't be mad, Lev. But Natsu and I...are dating. Since the camping trip." She lifted her head up to look at the blue haired girl. "We haven't told anyone yet because I didn't want you to be upset with me, since you told me not to date him...but I promise I was cautious, Lev! Natsu even told me all about Lisanna after I asked him and-"

"Lucy, it's okay." Levy interrupted. "I'm not mad. I don't think Natsu is a bad guy...I just wanted you to be careful...is all..." Levy played with a piece of her hair as she spoke. "I didn't want you to be scared to tell me if anything happened though...I'm sorry I made you feel like you had to hide it from me."

"It's okay Lev." Lucy went in to hug the smaller girl. "I'm sorry too, for lying about it all this time."

The two backed away from their embrace. "Wait so, why did you guys actually skip class today...?" Levy asked curiously.

"Well, last night we both kind of fell asleep without setting any alarms. I was up late doing homework last night and woke up at noon. After that we just decided to take it easy for today since we already missed half of our classes..." Lucy explained.

"Ohh okay, makes sense." Levy nodded her head.

"Gosh Lev, I'm so relieved that you know now...I've been feeling a bit guilty about not telling you." The blonde let out a long sigh. "I've never had a boyfriend before, but...I think I'm happier than ever..." Lucy blushed and looked away shyly.

Levy threw her arms around the blonde with a smile. "Aw Lu! I'm happy for you, really." The blue haired girl backed away. "Do you think you'll tell everyone now, like at school?"

"Hmm, probably, I don't see why not." Lucy replied bluntly.

"Oh okay, I was just curious. Honestly, I think everyone will be shocked."

"Nah, I think it'll be fine. Let's go back inside, it's getting kind of dark." Lucy said, heading back up the stairs towards her apartment.

"Yeah, I'll probably leave after I say hi to Natsu since I have a paper to write before tomorrow." Levy replied as she followed the blonde up the stairs.

The girls walked back into the apartment, Natsu still sitting in the same spot on the couch.

"Hey Natsu." Levy started. "I just wanted to say...I'm sorry for how I acted earlier...I'm really happy for you and Lucy!"

Natsu looked up at her, softly waving a hand. "It's no big deal, I can't really blame you...you know, for being concerned."

"I-I wasn't trying to judge you or anything...just wanted to make sure Lucy would be careful..." Levy continued.

"No, it's okay. You're fine." Natsu assured her. "Hey maybe now you can Gajeel can go on dates with us?"

"G-Gajeel...?!" Levy stuttered nervously.

"I always thought there was something going on with you guys..." Natsu said, his voice trailing off.

"N-no...nothing is going on with us. I don't think Gajeel would like someone like me anyways..." Levy said quietly, looking down at the floor.

"So you do like him...?" Lucy teased.

"Ugh, I hate you guys!" Levy exclaimed out of frustration. "See y'all tomorrow." She walked towards the door.

"See ya!" Lucy and Natsu said in unison as Levy left.

"Damn, I really thought they were dating or something...based off how they interact with each other." Natsu scratched the back of his head.

Lucy headed towards the couch to sit next to Natsu, playfully nudging his shoulder as she laughed. "I still can't believe you asked her that."

"What? I think if even I picked up on their feelings then it's pretty obvious." Natsu shrugged, rubbing his arm where Lucy nudged him.

"True." The blonde stood up to grab the t.v. remote that was sitting on the coffee table. "Wanna finish the movie?"

"Sure, but can we rewind since I think I fell asleep for some of it...?" Natsu let out a nervous laugh.

Lucy laughed as she leaned back. "Yeah I don't mind."

After the movie, Lucy finished folding the laundry from earlier, handing Natsu his clothes.

"I think we should probably go to bed now, that way we can for sure wake up in the morning." Lucy proposed.

"Yeah sounds good to me." Natsu sat back down on the couch, preparing to go to sleep.

"W-wait..." The blonde stood next to the couch, her words stuttering out. "Y-you know...you can sleep in my bed...if you want." She looked at Natsu and then at the floor shyly.

"Alright, if that's okay with you..." Natsu seemed a bit surprised at Lucy's offer.

"I-it's not a problem. Plus sleeping on the couch probably isn't that comfortable..." Lucy said, making her way to her room as Natsu followed.

Lucy got out her clothes to sleep in, gesturing for Natsu to turn around for a minute. As she changed, her heart beat faster and faster. W-why am I so nervous? I've never slept in the same bed with a guy before...what if I get sweaty? Ugh, Lucy don't think about that!

She finished changing into her loose t-shirt and shorts. "Okay, I'm done." Lucy said as Natsu turned back around.

As he turned around, Natsu pulled on his sweatshirt to get Lucy's attention. "Do you mind if I take this off? It's kind of hot in here."

The blonde's eyes widened when she realized he wanted to sleep shirtless, a blush forming across her cheeks. "Y-yeah of course i-it's okay!"

God, why am I always like this? Get it together, it's not like you haven't seen him shirtless before!

"Okay, sweet." Natsu replied as he ripped off the sweatshirt. "Are you okay, Luce? You seem a bit out of it."

How can he look so good...?

Lucy stood for a few moments trying to snap out of her thoughts. "Y-yeah...just tired is all."

With that, they both climbed into her bed while Lucy made sure to set an alarm on her phone for 7 a.m. Lastly, she turned off her lamp and got under the covers.

They sat in silence for few minutes before Lucy spoke. "So I guess...tomorrow we can tell all our friends we're dating. We don't have much of a reason to hide it anymore."

"Yeah, that'll be a relief." Natsu said, then pausing for a moment before he spoke again. "You know, people might talk...about you being with...me."

"I already said, I don't care..." Lucy argued as she curled up against him while Natsu placed an arm around her. "We know it's not like that, that's good enough for me."

"Yeah, you're right..." Natsu let out a sigh, staring at the ceiling. They both laid quietly, eventually drifting off to sleep.
