Chapter 11 ♡: Juvia's Question

"Ugh..." The blonde groaned as her alarm rang repeatedly. She opened her eyes, revealing Natsu's arms wrapped around her waist, his body pressed up against hers. A small smile crept across her face at the sight. Lucy reached over to turn off her alarm, as she began to nudge Natsu awake.

"W-what...?" Natsu said groggily.

"It's time to get up, we need to be in class in an hour." Lucy said as she sat up.

"Oh right..." Natsu also sat up, running his fingers through his hair.

They both finished getting ready, Lucy finishing last. Natsu sat on the couch with his arms crossed, while she grabbed her bag to head out the door.

"It's about time..." Natsu whined as they walked out the door.

"Hey, I didn't take that long! It's not my fault all you have to do is get dressed and don't have to spend time on your hair..." Lucy shouted as they walked.

Natsu swiftly clasped his hand with hers. "Calm down, you know I'm just messing with you."

The blonde tried to force a frown that turned into a smile the longer she tried. "Yeah, I know."

Finally, the two walked up through the main campus doors, still holding hands. They pulled off to the side where Natsu gave her a quick kiss and they headed in separate directions for their classes. "See you at lunch." Natsu said as he walked off.

"Yeah!" Lucy replied, heading to her writing class with Levy and Gajeel.

When Lucy got there, her friends were already there sitting next to each other. Levy had a book open, likely for homework for another class.

"Oh hey Lu!" Levy exclaimed as Lucy took her seat. "Have you told anyone yet? What did they say?"

"Nope. We just got here so we'll just do it at lunch. I don't think it'll be that big of a deal."

"It's not, I just want to know how everyone will react." Levy said, giggling.

Gajeel looked over at the girls, clearly interested. "Tell us what?"

"Natsu and Lucy are dating now." Levy replied.

The dark haired guy looked a bit surprised. "Wow, never thought I'd see Salamander settle down...congrats."

"Heh...thanks." Lucy let out a nervous laugh. I'm not sure if that was a compliment or not...?

After the next couple of classes, Lucy headed towards the spot where her friends usually ate lunch, in a wide open courtyard under a tree. "Hey Luce!" She heard Natsu call, it seemed like everyone was already there except for her. The blonde walked over, taking a seat in between Levy and Natsu.

"Hey guys." She said, setting her bag down.

"Oh, Salamander." Gajeel said as if he'd remembered something. "Congrats."

Natsu tilted his head a little bit. "Congrats...on what?"

"I heard you and blondie are dating now." He replied bluntly.

"...What?" Everyone else said in unison.

"Oh!" Natsu said, like he finally understood. "Yeah, we are."

"Wait since when?" Gray asked.

"Since spring break." Natsu said nonchalantly.

"What? That was a little while ago, how did we not notice?!" Gray exclaimed.

"I knew this would happen, y'all are so adorable together!" Mirajane said excitedly, cupping her cheeks.

"Gray, if they can be together, so can we!" Juvia exclaimed as Gray looked away, blushing.
