I wake up and it is 5:30 A.M. and realize everyone is sleeping so I fall back asleep. I then wake up to Kerry standing over me saying in a soft voice, "Wake up." I then wake up completely and Kerry then says, "Good morning sunshine!" Then ends with a bright smile. I then stare at her for fifteen seconds realizing again that it is morning. She then sits on my legs and I sit straight up. "Ow Kerry! You're crushing my legs!" I say trying to push her off. "Oh sorry." Kerry says rushing off. "Do you want breakfast? I'm starving!" Kerry says rubbing her stomach. Then we here a growl. "I'm really starving!" Kerry says. "Okay. I'm hungry, but not starving." I say wrapping my arm around my stomach. "Carly, your rarely starving!" Kerry says . "Am too." I say trying to prove a point. "Oh yea! Name one time." Kerry says crossing her arms. "Um, well there was this one time, I...um... I got nothing." I say. "See you get hungry but you never feel starved." Kerry says. "Well can we just get breakfast I'm 'starving'." I say quoting my fingers. "Oh yea! Let's go!" Kerry says half way down the stairs. "So through the night I was thinking about the fruit guns that we designed," Kerry says, "I think the one with the berries could also be called the 'Kerry Berry Blaster'!" Kerry says smiling brightly. "Sure if that's what you want to call it. I'm going to call it 'Carly Berriely... Um..." I say pausing. "I think 'Kerry Berry Blaster' sounds great." Kerry says laughing. "I'll just go with whatever." I say shrugging my shoulders. We then sit at her counter top. I tap my nails on the counter top. Her mom then starts to get out of bed. We can hear the bed creak and squeak as she gets up. She puts her slippers on and starts walking to the kitchen. "Good Morning girls!" Kerry's mom says out of breath but still has a smile. "Good Morning Mrs. McLain." I say softly with a smile. "Morning mom." Kerry says stuffing her mouth with strawberries from the bowl on the table. "Would you girls like a delicious breakfast..." Kerry's mom says pausing. We cut her off saying excitedly, "Sure! Can you put fruit in it too?" She cuts off saying, "Oh girls you didn't let me finish. I was going to get us breakfast burritos from Pa..." "Oh, then never mind." Kerry says cutting her off again and waving her hand at her. "Oh well I'm going to get Paco's for your father and sisters." Kerry's mom says pointing at a room and looking directly at Kerry. "Would you girls want anything from Paco's?" She asks so sweetly. "No!!!" We say waving our hands. "We will just ride our bikes around the corner to the breakfast shoppe." Kerry says getting off the chair. "They have healthy stuff." Kerry says. "What?" Kerry's mom says confused. "Kerry." I whisper. "Oh I mean tasty stuff." Kerry says doing a fake laugh. "Paco's has delicious stuff." Her mom says. "Well we weren't in the mood." Kerry says. "Oh okay then." Her mom says as she walks to the phone. Probably to call Paco's. Kerry and I go up stairs to her room and think about what we should eat for breakfast. "I want to go to the corner and get fruit and other delicious healthy stuff!" Kerry says. "Alright then! Let's get ready." I say, "Race you to the bathroom." I say halfway there. "Hey you got a head start!" Kerry says running. I get to the bathroom first so I wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I get out and Kerry dashes in. I get dressed. I put my favorite yellow crop top on with a pair of knee-high denim shorts. I then put on my running sneakers. I have a feeling I'll be running all over the place today. Kerry then walks out of the bathroom and sees my outfit. "Well don't you look sassy." Kerry says laughing with tears in her eyes. "Thanks. You look very sexy." I say laughing almost falling on the floor. Kerry looks down at her blue pony pajamas. Then she says laughing, "Oh I know it." I walk out of Kerry's room. Then Kerry walks out almost doing a cat walk and snapping her fingers. "Let's go." She says almost singing. "Okay." I giggle. We go outside and go get bikes. "I have bikes but one is smaller then the other." Kerry says disappointed. "That's okay. Do you have a helmet and roller blades?" I ask searching through her garage. "Yes!" Kerry says. "Okay so you ride your bike and I'll roller blade." I say putting the roller blades on. "Okay." Kerry says on her bike. When I'm done I stand up and start to roll out of the garage. "Let's go!" I say waving my arm at Kerry. I race down the street with Kerry just behind me. Then Kerry goes ahead of me. We turn a corner and we are almost there. "Race?" Kerry asks excitedly. "Sure." I say very positive. "Ready... Go!" Kerry says. We go as fast as we can. We are neck and neck. Kerry wins by an inch. "Let's call it a tie." Kerry says shaking my hand. We walk into a fine diner called 'Old Margaret's Diner.' It is supposed to be a 50s theme restaurant. Sort of like a car hop. Kerry and I sit down in a booth. I put the roller blades underneath the table so no one will see them. Then Kerry and I see something really shocking that Kerry almost squealed. We see the waiters and waitresses are..... Fat! A pale, blonde waitress walks up happily but out of breath and asks us, "Hi. I'm Amelia. What can I get for you girls?" "Um. Well." Kerry says staring at her. "We would like to hear the specials. Won't we Kerry?" I say looking at Kerry. "Oh yea." Kerry says coming out of her daze. "The breakfast specials are pumpkin pancakes. Eggs over easy with toast on the side. Egg sandwich. Chocolate pancakes. Assortment of fruit and toast. And finally oatmeal with fruit on the side." Amelia says out of breath. "I'll have the oatmeal with the fruit." Kerry says. "I'll have the same thing." I reply looking up at Amelia. "Anything to drink?" She asks. "Can I have water please? It is really hot outside." I say. "I'll have water too!" Kerry says. "Okay I'll be right back." Amelia says wiping the sweat off her forehead and she walks away. "So do you think she is a taco-lover?" I ask Kerry with a grin. "Um well yea. That's why I was staring at her." Kerry says with a bright smile. Twenty minutes later, our food comes. "Yay!" Kerry says clapping her hands, "I'm starving." We start to eat our oatmeal and have our favorite fruits: apples, blueberries, pineapples, and pomegranate. "This is delicious!" Kerry says enjoying every bite. I laugh a little watching Kerry eating the oatmeal. I hear my phone vibrate. I check my phone and see a text from Caitie saying, 'Do you and Kerry want to come over? I'll order tacos!' When I see that I almost drop my phone. "What happened?" Kerry asks worriedly but with a mouthful. "Caitie wants us to come over and eat tacos with her!" I say. "Well tell her that we just ate." Kerry says sounding like she solved the problem. I tell Caitie this but she says, 'I'll order tacos for lunch then.' "What now?" I say to Kerry showing her my phone. "Um," Kerry says trying to think of something. "Tell her that you and I are going to the park." Kerry says giggling. "Okay," I say agreeing with Kerry. Caitie replies saying, 'I'll meet you at the park for lunch!' "Just tell her that we will go to the park but we don't want eat Paco's." Kerry says finally. We then finish our breakfast and meet Caitie at the park. She is sitting on the park bench with a huge bag from Paco's. She spots us and waves at us smiling a bright smile. "Just act normal." I whisper to Kerry. "You can trust me. I can keep my cool." Kerry says confident. We walk over to Caitie. "Hey Caitie! What are you eating? Do you know what is in the tacos?"Kerry says her voice high pitch. She lost her 'cool'. She starts sweating and asking Caitie all these questions. I interrupt Kerry saying, "What Kerry means is, are you enjoying the tacos?" "Oh absolutely." Caitie says excitedly. Kerry then exhales loudly wiping her forehead. "Do you want to sit down?" Caitie asks us. "Sure." Kerry says already sitting down. "I got tacos..." Caitie says. Kerry says, "Oh we didn't want tacos." Caitie then replies, "You didn't let me finish. I got tacos for me." Caitie says pointing a chubby finger at herself. "Oh okay." Kerry says. Caitie then pulls out a taco from that big bag. She opens the wrapper and takes a huge bite of the taco. "How many tacos did you get?" Kerry asks Caitie. "Well, plus the one in my hand I got 20." Caitie replies happily. "Wow." I say not really shocked at all. "So what are you doing this week?" Caitie asks us. "Nothing in particular." Kerry says high pitched again. "Oh. Well I'm preparing for Taco Tuesday! I can't wait!" Caitie says mouth full. Kerry gulps and looks towards me. I shrug. Taco Tuesday is coming soon and we're running out of time.
