Lauren POV

Waking up at the sounds of my alarm clock is the first old routine that I manage to do. I yawn spreading my arms widely while the ray of sunshine hitting my face. I lazily stand up, fix my bed sheet and grab a towel before heading to shower room. It's been a minutes doing my stuff and made my way downstairs. I grab the bowl of Jasmine and refill it with her favorite snack.

I picked up my grocery bag and headed to my car that was kept in the garage for a very long time since the accident occur. I turn the ignition and drive all the way to the nearest Walmart. I park my car at the vacant space and grab a pushing cart. I headed to the milk section first and grab my all time favorite chocolate flavored milk until a melodious voice called my name. I look back and smile to the owner of that voice and give her a teddy bear hug.

"Good morning sweetheart, I've received the letter you left in the counter. Thank you and that so sweet of you."

"That's the least I can do to return your kindness towards me. How was he?"

I try to sounds normal cause I don't want her to think of anything behind. She smile sadly while grabbing a cartoon of almond milk.

"He didn't sleep at his condo last night. Apparently I came back yesterday to bring the bed sheet he ask me to replace yet he wasn't there. And when I drop by while ago checking his refrigerator to refill some, he's sleeping soundly on the floor until I wake him up. I felt bad to see how exhausted he was."

"I'm glad that I wasn't on his way anymore to have his night life."

"I don't think so. He doesn't smell alcohol instead he's a bit sick."

"Who knows he already clean himself up. He keeps saying how clumsy I am and can't take care of myself when he's the one not taking care of his own well-being."

I'm kinda annoyed but at the same time can't stop thinking him being sick. Is that how he was grumpy and moody yesterday?

"I don't know but you two is pretty much dense as wall."

I look at her giving unamused reaction. She shook her head lightly and push the cart.

"I don't get your point, Ms. Harper."

"That's exactly what he said when I talk to him something like this. By the way, you might want to come I'll bake your favorite cookies later."

"I would love to honestly Ms. Harper but I have to pay visit to the restaurant."

"It's fine, I'll just gonna drop by later at your restaurant to send some."

"Thank you and see you then."

I smile cheekily that made her chuckle at my childish behavior. I hug her before parting ways with her around the area.

"Wait before I forgotten."

"Yes? Ms. Harper?"

"I just thought you might want to hear this to wake up your dense heart."

"What's up with you today Ms. Harper?"

I said in confusion while waiting for her to spill what she has in mind. She smile showing her toothy grin that made me chuckle in return on how cute young looking she is in contrast to her age.
