Shane Miller POV

"Marrying someone that you don't even like is something you're telling me a pig can fly. It was unfortunate life for me to be chosen one for the woman who only cares for money, shoes, dress, make ups and materials obsession and that's Scarlet Hudson, a famous model that caught my parents' attention. But me being the hardheaded and hot tempered, I made a repulsive decision by ditching her and all my responsibilities as youngest son of Miller's heirs. That's my pathetic history that keeps hunting me as of this moment."

Life is unfair to me, until now still unfair maybe until my next life. I sigh looking at the helpless woman naked in front of me. As a man of course I'm tempted by the prey, her curves are in the right place but I slap my face for having that thought. I scoop her up bridal style placing gently on the hospital bed. I grab the towel and wrap her petite body inside. Angel had heard me when the nurse came in, she attentively help and dress her up.

We'll it all started when accidents occur in my site, the scaffolding ladder fell carrying heavy cements. This woman happen to pass by unnoticed. I didn't know how the hell a random person just got involved with this type of accident when clearly everything is under control. I was angry for that matter, practically I could have file trespassing case against her but when I heard one of my workers talking how unfortunate she was to just passed by in attempt to deliver the food being ordered by my construction workers, a sudden pity and conscience strikes me. I wasn't that bad to not have a sympathy for her. Two of my men had broken ribs and injured badly. But this woman scared me the most. Cement hit her head badly and injured her arms. I couldn't imagine her petite body enduring the pain.

"Thank you."

That's all I said to the nurse before she left the room. She woke up with another cut on her head, she is clumsy that's one thing for sure.

"Hey, you haven't eaten. You barely touch your food all day."

"No thanks, I don't know but I lost my appetite."

"Still, you have to eat."

"I want to go home. Look, I'm all good I beg you."

"You can't until next week. You aren't fully healed. And look at your forehead, you've got another cut due to your clumsiness."

"I'm not clumsy, I just pass out that's it."

She stubbornly said while crossing her arms on her chest.

"Three accidents in a day, sure it wasn't clumsiness."

I commented with the hint of sarcasm.
