Lauren POV

He's been driving around the city of New York. I open the window of his car and enjoy the modern view that offers. New York City isn't that far to New Jersey but I don't have that much time to be Dora the explorer. Tall building, skyscrapers, buzzing people back and forth are those who caught my attention.

I wasn't that much fascinated by the modern vibe, I still prefer vintage that surrounded by maple tree if I'll be the one to decide. He stop when the red spot light strike. I stare at his worn out face nonetheless of it, doesn't make any less how ridiculously good looking he is.

"You know, I can drive if you're tired."

"I'm fine, no worries."

"As you say so."

"You seems to be concern and I like that."

"You're being crackhead again."

I slap his arms and that caught me off guard apparently he's burning hot. When the green light strike he maneuver the car until we smoothly change to another lane.

"You're burning-"

"I know I'm hot, thank you for acknowledging that green eyes."

"Shut up and stop the car."

He blink in confusion but still obeyed to what I said. He stop the car in front of the tall building.

"You're creeping me out."

"I'll drive."

I unbuckled my seatbelt and hop out. I tap his window and open the door. He hasn't move an inch until I unbuckled him.

"What are you doing?"

"Move to the left side, stop asking."

He finally moved and made himself comfortable on the left side while sighing.

"It's going to take an hour-"

I cut him off by maneuvering his car and drive smoothly.

"I know and just sleep there, stupid."

I said it in low tone that emphasize how  annoyed I am. He chuckled and rest his head.

"Your way of showing concern is purely adorable."

"Shut up, I wasn't concern of your well-being. I'm concern to let you drive in that condition, we might ended up in hospital. Couldn't afford to spend the night in hospital bed again."

"Sure, I want to believe that but I already made up my mind."

"Do me a favor, shut your mouth and sleep. I'll wake you up when we get there."

"Noted ma'am."

"Good and one more thing."

"How can I shut my mouth when you keep talking to me?"

"Shut up and just listen."

"You're impossible though, as usual."

"Don't ever drink again if your stupid body will react like that. Don't be so reckless."

He laughed out loud while closing his eyes. I was annoyed but his laugh is contagious and becomes healing sounds in my not so loyal ears.
