Chapter 3

I kept my sword up, I was shaking, my heart pounded inside my chest harder each second. Lydia lay limp behind me, I couldn't let her die. That meant I might have too, I kept my sword up higher despite the disapproving look my father gave me.

A sudden scream interrupted the tension, I fell back as several hundred armed...creatures ran out of the woods followed by 3 humans. My father yelled the order, I felt arrows rain down on Lydia, but I blocked her, two arrows stuck into my arms. I felt pain and shock, but I pulled them out as I saw my father's men scatter. My father had to have been the first to run because I didn't see him anywhere.

After recollecting my thoughts, I felt the pain in my arm and the exhaustion got the better of me.

I fainted.

(~.~)

I woke up there was a dim light coming to my eyes. Opening my eyes I realized I was in a tent, it was red and I was lying on a small bed. My arm felt numb but it was better the pain. I started breathing heavy when I realized Lydia wasn't with me.

Jumping to my feet, I ran to the entrance, I looked out and my eyes widened at the sight. I grabbed a small dagger from the tip of the bed in my room, then turned to leave the tent. My fear rising up, who were these people...err...things...creatures...whatever they were!

A large beast with horns turned to look at me as I slunk around the corner. I screamed a terrified shriek and gashed it with the dagger, it seemed unharmed as it grabbed me and threw me back. I landed onto a pile of unmerciful lumber. I saw several other creatures coming up to me.

I grabbed the lumber saw and slung it at them. Tumbling down the pile I ran towards the opposite side of the place. Tents seemed to be everywhere and all I could do was scream at every beast I saw.

I finally ran across a tent, with several swords lying behind it. -Finally- I thought. Picking two up and positioning them protectively around my body. I stepped out of cover and a half goat man creature stepped over to me, I swung and he ducked. I heard yelling and creatures everywhere were running towards me outraged.

Then I saw Edmund running over. -I was in Narnia! - I yelled at myself.

"Calm down!" he yelled at me, nearing.

I swung with a yell, but he slid back even though I sliced a bit of hair. He seemed to be turning red with anger, and he grabbed his own sword.

He yelled and jumped at me bringing his sword to blow my right cheek, I turned in the nick of time, kicking him down. I waved both swords around my body again, and he got up swinging at my feet. I jumped and punched his jaw, he grabbed my hands and twisted one of my swords away.

I leaped up slamming the butt of my sword on his head, but he turned around and pointed the sword at my throat. I felt the world stop around me.

"CASSANDRA!" came the terrified scream. It made Edmund look back and I took the chance. I swung my legs around, twisting his around with them and he fell to the ground. I put my foot on his chest.

All the Narnians looked at me with weapons ready.

Lydia was running up to me pushing me off Edmund and glaring at me. "Are you insane!?" came her shrill voice.

I looked her confused, "What?"

"Stop! Narnia is good! Stop trying to kill one of their kings." Lydia scolded hitting the back of my head. I felt anger but kept it in, this way I wouldn't get myself killed.

Two men stepped out of the crowd that had formed, they were both human.

"You've disturbed the inner peace of our camp." came the first ones snarky greeting.
