Chapter 17

"Hala, boss Rylon?! Ano kasalanan mo bakit ka ikukulong?!"

"Tanga mo, Nico! Marriage Booth 'yan!" Hinampas siya ni Favy.

As much as I want to laugh at Nico, I still can't help but feel this heavy thing in my chest. Am I jealous?

"Pia, ayaw ko," Latch said at the girl dragging him.

"Pres, dali na! Ito naman, KJ, saglit lang eh!" She's still dragging him.

"No," said Latch that made the girl stop. Padabog niyang hinarap si Latch, I guess they're close. SSG Officer siguro.

"Sige na, Pres!" she begged, "Ngayon lang naman! Dali na, para rin naman 'to sa pondo." Magaling siyang mangumbinsi, ah.

I saw Latch sigh. Nakuha iyon ng babae kaya ngumisi at hinatak na ulit siya papunta sa bride niya.

Unlike Latch, Ashley was smiling from ear to ear, definitely enjoying this. I bet siya rin ang may pakana nito.

I looked away when Latch turned his head to look at me. I even checked my phone to pretend. Ang hirap umarte. Tumungin ulit ako pero wala na siya. Hindi ko alam kung anong idadahilan ko sa mga kaibigan ko nang ayain nila akong manood.

"Dali! tingnan natin kung paano umasa si Ashley," said Favy.

"Susunod ako, naiwan ko pala 'yung pouch ko sa room na pinag-ayusan namin." I had to lie. I don't want to watch their cheesy wedding!

Hindi ko na siya hinintay sumagot at mabilis na akong naglakad paalis doon. Something about her felt weird because she starred at me like she was waiting for a violent reaction or something. Hindi ko alam.

Hindi ko rin alam kung saan ako pupunta dahil hindi naman talaga totoo iyong dahilan ko. Napadpad na lang ulit ako sa CR, buti na lang walang tao.

"Pakshet naman, bakit pati ngayon?" Tears started to fall from my eyes.

Hanggang kailan ba ako iiyak sa CR sa tuwing makikita ko sila? I'm getting tired of this, I feel weak!

I wiped my tears before I walked out to go back. Dumoble ang bigat sa dibdib ko nang makita silang magkahawak ang kamay sa harap ng fake na pari. Everyone was watching.

"Fake lang naman 'to pero bakit nasasaktan ako?" I whispered to myself.

I watched them from a far. I remember the first time I saw her, nireto ko lang siya kay Latch nang hindi niya alam but now, she's already fake marrying him.

I cannot believe this is where I am right now... At a bathroom... Crying my eyes out because I have feelings for him... My best friend... The best friend I grew up with... The guy I shared everything with... And the same guy I had feelings for since God knows when! 

I don't even know when this started. It's like out of nowhere I started noticing everything about him – his efforts, what he says, his looks, all of it! Suddenly, everything he do has meaning. It scares me! It threatens my friendship with him!

"Huy!" Umayos kaagad ako ng tayo, "Kanina ka pa nakabalik?"

"Uh, hindi! Ngayon lang." I gave her a smile. Hinatak ako ni Favy malapit sa booth.

Great, now I get to watch them marry up close. Nakatitig lang ako sa kanilang dalawa, Latch looks bored while Ashley is the complete opposite.

"Do you, Latch Rylon, take Ashley Bern to be your fake wedded wife?"

"I do," Latch answered after a long pause. That made the people around them go crazy.
