"They are retreating" I heard Sam's voice say, which made me turn around to watch Thor blow up another one of the large mother ships. "What?" I asked as Sam turned around, still flying over the fields of Wakandan soldiers who were now chanting loudley, banging their fighting staffs on the grounud agressively. "The outriders, they are going back to their ships" Sam said as one of the ships tried to take off, Thor just smashing it into a million pieces before it could. 

I saw Steve standing next to Wanda and Vision, the latter sitting up against a fallen tree, clutching onto his side as Natasha and I walked over. T'Challa, Bucky and Okoye had also joined us in the trees, which is where we all subconsciously knew that the battle would be ending here. "You guys okay?" I asked as Steve turned to look at me, nodding his head as he let out a small sigh turning back to Wanda and Vision.

"You guys need to get out of here" Steve said to Vision as he bent down, holding out his arm which Vision reached out to take to haul himself up. He winced as he fell back to the ground, putting one hand on his head as he cringed at something. "What? What's going on?" Wanda asked him, kneeling down next to him as she set her hand on his cheek.

Vision looked over at her, his eyes wide as he shook his head, looking over at Steve quickly. "He's here" Vision said as he looked around, Bruce in the Hulkbuster armour coming out from the row of trees, everyone gathering in this one patch of land in the middle of the forest. The air grew stale as I looked around, the leaves falling from trees being swept into a light gust of wind as they circled through the air.

I could almost feel the temperate change, as if the sun had hidden behind a cloud before a storm was on its way, but this was my bigger than any storm could ever be. There was a faint humming filling the air as I turned around, Steve lifting his hand up with his finger pointed, telling everyone silently to stay exactly where they were and not to move a muscle. "Everyone on my position, we have incoming" Steve said quietly as he clicked his wrist shield into place, preparing for a fight.

"What the hell?" Natasha asked from my side, the wind picking up once again after being silent for a moment, a small vortex forming of levees. I smoothly lifted my hands over my batons, clasping my hands on them as I pulled them off of my back, holding them in my hands. We all watched around, trying to figure out what exactly was going on, but we all knew that this was exactly what we were fighting towards.

There was a large cloud of smoke forming ahead of us, small little blue waves of electricity crowded in it, hovering over the ground. It opened up like a portal, nothing sitting on the other side except from an empty vat of darkness, or what looked like it. Suddenly a large figure stepped out of the cloud, taking a step onto the Wakandan ground as he looked around. Wanda rose from the ground, moving her hands about as she conjured up red wisps, taking a step in front of Vision to protect him.

I looked at the figure who was just standing there, not making a move as the portal disappeared with a gust of wind. He was as tall as the Hulkbuster armour, his skin a purple colour and a small smile sitting on his face. He had a golden glove on, which I could see held 5 coloured stones over each of his knuckles. There was an empty space in the middle of his hand, and it wasn't too difficult to figure out what was supposed to sit in it.

"Cap, that's him" Bruce said to us as Steve stared ahead, taking a moment to take in our new opponent as I let out a small breath, looking at the back of Steve's head, waiting for an instruction. "Holy shit" Natasha added from my side, flipping her electro rods in her hand quickly and catching the other side in her left hand, holding them in front of her as she looked at Thanos with wide eyes, just as intimidated as the rest of us.

"Eyes up and stay sharp" Steve said as we started walking forward, lifting his shields up to the front of him as he broke into a run, Bruce the lead and was probably going to be the first to Thanos. I watched as Thanos barely even moved, taking a small step forward, lifting up his hand as he closed his fist, not finding us as much of a threat as we saw him as.

"This is not going to end well"

A/N: tonight is the night! i'm going to be spam updating two more chapters and then book 7 will be starting!!
Thanos is finally here and he's ready to rain havoc on the avengers so let's hope it all goes well, or as well as possible
