Kairi's pov.
"miss me kai?"
I froze. that voice was all too familiar.
I turned the corner to see my old business partner, Oliver.
oh god please no.
My body became paralyzed as i watched him walk closer to me. He held a knife in his hand, rolling it between his fingers.
"oliver?"
"that's me, did you forget me already?." He was smirking, and leaning on the nearest wall.
i ignored his stupid question. "what are you doing here?" I hissed, cocking the gun.
"thought i'd come visit my favorite boyfriend."
"we're not dating anymore." I rolled my eyes and he stepped closer.
I was praying to god that mattia would stay in the room but i knew he wouldn't.
"kai?" I heard mattia call out.
Oliver raised an eyebrow, then laughed when he saw who i assume was mattia. I groaned when i heard his footsteps.
"Kore wa anata no chīsana otokonoko no omochadesu?" Oliver chided, whispering almost.
"Hai, ima hitori de kare o nokoshi, kare ni wa nani mo iu koto wa arimasen." I strictly spoke, glaring at him. He nodded in agreement. "mattia please go back into the room."
"i wanna help." He whined, putting a hand on my shoulder. I smiled at him and slowly moved us to the back room.
"mattia please. i need you to listen to me
just this one time." I sat him down and stood between his legs."first tell me who that is."
"an ex boyfriend. please don't worry. and only come out when you hear gunshots." I ruffled his hair and kissed him softly.
"i love you""i love you too kai." He mumbled, holding me tightly. I pulled away and walked back out.
Oliver stood up fully now. "Sudeni kai ni idō shimasu ka?"
"Watashi wa nagai jikan mae ni idō shimashita." I folded my arms.
Mattia's pov.
Kairi was speaking japanese, and he sounded irritated. I stood by the door to see the gun in Kairi's back pocket.
"Anata ga koko ni iru riyū watashi wa mada rikai shite imasen." Kairi spoke, his back facing me.
The other boy didn't say anything, except look at him hungrily, which made me feel jealous.
