t/w: I just want to say before i get started i am deeply sorry for the tragic passing of Corey LaBarrie. A wonderful soul with a wonderful heart, gone too soon. I don't know if i will post as often, it doesn't feel right right now. If you are unaware of what happened he was drunk along with his friend, they got into the car and he was instantly killed in an accident. My heart hurts for his friends, his family. I wouldn't be writing this story if it wasn't for him, everyone even. I want to say thank you for the wonderful support i'm getting on this crazy journey because i don't know when it will end. We can only live in the present. I love all of you guys, every comment, every read every share, it means so much more than you think. It's okay to cry and it's okay to mourn, just know you aren't alone in this.

Before Kevin showed up, many other people did. Many, many people. There was at least already a hundred people filled in the kitchen and backyard. I called Kevin's phone again, for the tenth time since people showed up. Brennen was already drunk as hell so i doubt he'll be down to do anything but drink now. Sam and Kat were out back playing it cool, but also looking out for anyone weird looking. And by anyone i mean Emily. Corey and Devyn were scouting the garage and the drunk area. I honestly didn't care if they drank or not, i just don't want them to be wasted until we find Emily. Cassie and Reggie are keeping it cool, talking to people and catching up with the locals. That's gotta be hard to explain, how do you tell someone you faked your death unwillingly? Gosh that's a story. I was playing beer pong with Jc right now, currently eating shit by how much i was losing by. I swear i'm good, it's just been a while. I pulled out my phone and started recording for my instagram story, it was mostly just me and Jc screaming at each other and poorly missing the shots we were taking. I scream as Jc makes another shot in the cup closet to me. "Drink up buddy, i only have four more." He nods slowly. I chug the burning liquid, hoping it goes down faster than i have to actually taste it. I almost jump out of my body when Mike speeds to my side, like literally speeds, i almost passed out of fear. I choke on my drink as i lean over and grab Mikes shoulder. "Don't ever do that to me again dude." I chuckle bringing myself up, but he doesn't laugh with me. Instead he holds a wide eyed face, i furrow my eyebrow looking at him. "Everything okay brother?" He shakes his head and looks behind my shoulder before pulling his mouth to my ear. "We have someone outside the perimeter, she's non gifted and suspicious looking." I nod my head leaning back and turning to Jc. "Can we finish this later? We might have a watcher outside." A watcher is what we made a nickname out of people that weren't welcomed into our house. Well, Elton came up with the name we just went along with it. We don't really know where it came from but we don't use anything else around here much less have the brains to think of another name. Jc nods and picks up one of the cups before drinking it. The thing with Jc is that it's nearly impossible for him to get drunk, he isn't gifted fully, but his mother was. Just not his dad. So he has the normal vision of a gifted person with no addition powers, and a strong ass immune system too. Sometimes i think he can eat as much taco bell as he wants and nothing will happen, lucky bastard. Mike and I walk into the garage, i toss him a beer, leaning against the wall and watching the door. "So tell me about this little watcher problem we have. We should be expecting a visitor from my former 'buddy'." I air quote. "You might know from a little while back." He slowly nods taking a sip of his beer. "It was a woman, i was just beyond the gate when i examined her and saw no sign of coloration. She pulled into the gate, i don't even know how she got the code but she was in a jeep." By coloration he was referring to the specific glow gifted people give off with the gifted vision. It's usually how we find strays and bring them to safety. I nod and roll my eyes, running my hand through my hair. "Yep that's her, remember Emily?" "Oh the hot one?" I glare at him, hesitatingly nodding. "Yeah that's her, i'm not calling her hot though, i'm still with Jordan." His lips curved up a little before covering it up with his drink. I rolled my eyes looking at him. "Don't even think about it Michael," i shook my head in a playful yet stern matter. "It's not like you're with her though, unless you still have a little something for her.." He trailed off poking my shoulder. I giggled turning away from him. "No i don't, i just don't want her around out group so much." "It's not like she doesn't know already." He said shrugging. I rolled my eyes before cocking my head at the door that slammed open. It was the Dad himself, Kevin. "She's here and she's on my ass." Right as the door closed another knocking, barley even audible came from the door. Kevin backed away slowly, "you act like i didn't see you walk in here Kevin." Her voice peaked out, still fresh in my head. I walk over and open the door, standing in front of the entrance. "You can't be here." I said, keeping my voice low and holding my ground. She rolled her eyes, trying to push passed me but i held my arm out stopping her. She took a step back, reaching into her pocket, scrambling for something. She pulled her hand out, holding something closed over it as she pulled my wrist to her. Her grip was hard, aggressive even. She placed something in my hand before physically pushing me with both hands so i was out of her way. I close the door with her inside, zoning everything out to look at the small gadget in my hand. I fidget with the small bracelet in my hand before coming across the small engraving in it. It wasn't just a bracelet, it was Jordan's. The exact one Sam got her. I fumed with anger, turning my gaze to the girl that unwelcoming came into our home. On our day. "Where did you get this." I almost yell looking at her. I felt my jaw clench and my fist form into a ball. "You're asking me, it was on my doorstep this morning." She snapped back and opened the fridge, grabbing a beer. "Bullshit," i walked up to her and grabbed the beer out of her hands and setting it down. "Where the hell did you get this." I couldn't help the anger pour out of me with every word i said. Kevin pulled me back a little and that's when i noticed i was inches from Emily's face just seconds ago. "I'm telling the fucking truth Brock, i have no reason to lie. It was on my doorstep, i know she's gone because she's obviously not here." She snapped pushing past me and sitting down in a beanbag. "Then why bring it? Why do you even care for her?" Mike spoke up crossing his arms. Thank God i didn't have to talk, i don't think i can hold in my anger anymore. "I'm gonna get Sam, don't do anything dumb." Kevin pointed to be before walking out leaving me, Mike, and the strange girl here. "I brought it because i didn't know if she came by and left it as a threat. And who said i cared? I don't, i just want something in return." She smiled slightly, cocking an eyebrow slightly. "And what could you possibly want, Emily?" I snapped out. She giggled a little and twirled her finger at me. "Oh it's simple really, all i want is you, all i want is one more kiss." She said innocently, i almost threw up thinking about cheating on the girl of my dreams. Mike laughed at her and i just turned my head around and covered my face. If i thought about this logically, i could get her to help, maybe lead us in the right direction? Then i'll kiss her, but that's all. And it will be completely meaningless. Jordan wouldn't even have to know. Maybe it'll even get Emily off our asses and move on with her weird life. "Yeah no, you really think Colby out of all people would cheat on his girlfriend? That's ridiculous, right Colby?" Mike asked looking at me, i unfolded my hands and looked straight at Emily. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. A deal with the devil maybe, but if i would get J back, maybe it would be different. "No tricks?" I asked her, searching her face for anything really. "No tricks" she responded back standing up and crossing her arms. Sam opened the door, stepping in along with Kat, Aryia, Kevin and the rest of the gang, including Cassie and Reggie. "And you guarantee we get her back?" Sam asked stepping to my side, i'm guessing Aryia told him, or maybe the whole group. "100%" She said smiling. "And in one piece?" Aryia stepped in, standing on the other side of me with Mike. Kevin came in too, along with Jake as he stepped in front of me. "And you do realize if you're lying about any of this, and we find out something you lied about, you will never see the light of day again." He leaned closer to her in a threatening tone, i could've sworn i saw a hint of fear in her eyes before it disappearing. She still holds her hand out in front of Jake. "Deal." She agrees simply. Jake nods and steps aside, it wasn't his deal to accept, it was mine. I step up and look between her and her hand, before making the decision that could lead the next few months of my life. And i shake it.
