A blast of white light blinded Joe and Sheep. WormHole darted out of the portal and wrapped its thick skin around Joe's body like a snake snaring its prey. Sheep pushed into Joe's chest as the Time Keeper's face quickly darkened into an unnatural shade of purple as WormHole constricted the two.
"Where... did you... come from?" choked Joe.
"You shouldn't go running off like that," said WormHole, "Why would you turn away from your opponent?"
The creature slipped its head around Joe and sunk its gaze into the Time Keeper's eyes, "You lack the instincts for battle. Are you new to this? It seems your teacher has failed you. Father Time has ill-equipped you for battle"
"Pixie is my... teacher" said Joe struggling with each word, "And she's... great."
Pixie slashed at WormHole, who uncoiled its body and snapped straight into the air. Her head followed its ascent as Joe crashed onto his butt with Sheep on his chest.
Joe massaged his throat with both hands. A soreness pained his body with every move. Sheep crawled off of him and fell flat on its back.
"That was close" said Sheep wiping the last of WormHole's mucus off of its fur, "Don't let him take me again, please?"
"Should we go into the air after him?" asked Joe with his hands still soothing his throat.
"No," said Pixie, "Remember our fight against BlackHole? This one might have the same gravitational abilities."
"Then, how are we supposed to fight back?" asked Joe with his neck craned up. He watched WormHole fly further up into the air, "He's going to touch the grandfather clock at this rate."
Pixie's open hand came into Joe's peripheral vision. He turned and grabbed her hand, which was sweatier than Joe ever remembered. Was she nervous?
"Keep an eye on him," said Pixie pulling Joe up, "He can create holes in the air and fly through them. Or maybe they're tunnels?"
"They're not just any holes" said Joe, "They're wormholes. That alien's name is WormHole too."
Pixie slid her finger across her chin, "That must be its strategy. It creates wormholes, slips into them, and then sneak attacks its opponents."
"You should stay away from those wormholes" said Sheep, "WormHole may be able to move back and forth through them, but you can't. If you enter one of those wormholes, then we'll never see you again."
"You're joking, right?" asked Joe with an awkward smile.
"No," said Sheep, "Those wormholes take it to different dimensions. You'll be lost in space forever."
"What are you three doing down there?" said WormHole, "I see, Time Keepers can't fly. Well, that puts you at quite the disadvantage."
WormHole's serpent body snapped down at the three. Pixie sent multiple entropy attacks at it, but her target was out of range. More sweat dripped down her hands.
"Can't reach me from up here, but I can reach you!" said WormHole. A new portal emerged and WormHole slithered into it.
Pixie and Joe raised their scythes across their chests in a defensive position and waited for their attacker to materialize.
The portal ripped out of space and time pouring light over Joe's shoulder. He only managed to turn his neck before WormHole tore through the portal and head-butted him several feet away. Pixie moved in for a counter-attack, but WormHole slipped through a new wormhole just as she brought down her scythe.
"I don't get it," said Joe, wincing in pain as WormHole materialized in the sky, "I thought you needed a mental key to access nirvana. How are you able to leave and still return?"
