I wouldn't move once I was in Chan's arms. the shock from today finally hitting me. Jisung rushed to make sure Jun was okay before picking him up and placing him on his hip. they buckled Jun in before Chan had to pick me up and set me in the seat right beside him in the van.

after that we rushed to the hospital, or at least as fast as Woojin would let us.

when we arrived I was feeling better, I was a bit calmer and collected. we got out of the van and rushed into the hospital demanding to know anything and everything about Seungmin's condition.

we were all stressed and worried. you could see it in all our faces.

we sat in the waiting room for what felt like hours. someone tapping our feet against the concrete to take the edge off all the nerves. Chan, however, was pacing back and forth in the waiting room as he thought and prepare himself for the worst.

the clock just struck 8 pm (20:00) when a nurse came out of the door staring at a clipboard before calling the name we've all longed to hear "Kim Seungmin?" we all stood quickly, at least the ones who were sitting did.

she saw how many people were there for Seungmin so she quickly stated. "he's awake right now. but sadly we can't allow all of you in at once. so please, one at a time" I was going to sit back and let everyone else go first since they're like family to Seungmin but, that didn't stop me from wanting to see him and make sure he was okay with my own eyes

"I think Y/n should go. she is his girlfriend" Han exclaimed, everyone else agreed with his statement. I smile as tears showed themselves in my eyes "thank you guys" I said as I got up and made my way to the nurse. she closed the door behind me once I walked a bit ahead, soon leading me to Seungmin's room.

"I must warn you though" she paused to look at what I assume to be his chart before continuing "he lost a lot of blood, so there might be some short term effects" she stated. I wanted to ask what kind of effects but I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it if I knew.

soon we arrive right in front of his door, thoughts of what might have gone wrong fill my head. the question of the short term effects still bugging me. but little did I know I was soon going to find out.

the nurse left to go do her rounds after showing me the room.

I took a deep breath as I pushed all the worries to the back of my mind and knocked softly on his cracked open door. just to hear a soft "come in"

I walk in, hiding my shaking hands behind my back as I smiled when I saw Seungmin laying there in the hospital bed. besides the needle in his arm and the machines, he was hooked up to he looked great for just being shot.

I took another good long breath before moving a chair to the side of the bed. feeling a bit bad since I was the reason he was in the hospital. but I shook it off and smiled as I grabbed his hand and held it.

he looked a bit confused but I tried not to think too much into it.

"I'm so glad you're okay Seungmin!" I said with a bright smile. "that's not all true" he said and my smile faded as I gave him a confused look "I don't remember how I got here" he explained "you took a bullet for Jun" I said and there was that confused look again "Jun?" I laughed nervously "come on, you know Jun, my 6-year-old son?" I said and the confusion in his eyes faded for a moment. "thank you for that" I said with a soft smile and he hummed

"one more question," he said

"Okay, shoot" I responded

"Who are you?"

my eyes widened at those words. "come on Seungmin, if this is some kind of joke it's not funny" I said with a fake giggle "it's not a joke" he stated with a straight face "it's me Y/n. you remember me right?" I asked with desperation in my voice

"oh yeah your Chan's older sister, I wasn't aware we've met before now," he said with a smile as if the fog had cleared "yeah we have," I said in a low tone "I'm sorry what did you say," he asked and I let go of his hand.

I stood looking down and holding back the tears "I have to go" is all I said before walking out of the room. I walked back to the waiting room, trying to keep the tears from falling still.

I opened the door and looked at the others "how is he?" Chan asked. I was trying to escape without letting on how hurt I was. but I couldn't. a tear fell from my eye "he's doing great" I said with a weak smile.

I walk over to a chair and pick up my sleeping son "I have to get this little guy to bed, he has school tomorrow. I'll talk to you guys later" I said without making eye contact with anyone. then I just left

I called a cab, then me and my sleeping son got in. home wasn't too far so I let the tears fall silently the whole 20 minutes ride as I pulled my knee's up to my chest and curling up in a ball before I realized just how big my stomach was getting, then I remembered the appointment I had today

just then a voice broke my train of thought "hey Ma'am if you don't mind me asking. what happened to you?" the driver of the cab asked "my boyfriend doesn't remember me" I said simply

"how come?"

"he took a bullet for my son and lost to much blood" I paused before breathing out the next part "me and my son are the only things he can't remember" I sobbed even more just at the thought. what am I going to do now?

soon the car stopped and I looked outside to see our apartment building. the cab driver turned to me "if what you guys have is meant to be, he will remember you, it's just going to take time"  he said simply

"thank you" I said with a sniffle. "what's your name?"

"Jaebum, but people call me JB" he explained with a smile, I told him my name and thanked him once again before getting out of the car with my sleeping son, and heading inside.
