Jimin's POV

"...Jungkook...?"

Jimin didn't know how to react.

His best friend and partner was gone.

Jimin turned away from the window and looked back in Namjoon's direction.

Namjoon was just as shocked as Jimin, still stuck in place.

"Oh-...Why? Why did this have to happen, why did we even come up here, why did he-", Jimin stammered, all his thoughts overtaking him at once.

"Hey", said Namjoon, finally unfreezing, "It'll be okay, don't worry."

He walked towards Jimin and put his hand on his shoulder, trying his best to comfort the boy.

"What do you mean, it's not okay, he's gone, Mr Kim, gone, I'll have to work alone, how can I-"

"Jimin", said the elder, cutting him off, "It's. Okay. We'll figure it out."

He reached up with his other hand, running it through the boy's hair.

His hand travelled down the side of Jimin's head, ending under his chin, the elder's thumb gently caressing the younger's cheek.

"But-mmf-"

Jimin's words were cut off by Namjoon's lips colliding with his.

The younger was caught off guard, but slowly started to kiss back, wrapping his arms around the elder's neck.

Namjoon slid his arms down Jimin's body, wrapping them tightly around the younger's waist.

The two finally pulled away, still holding each other.

Namjoon smiled down at Jimin, bringing his hand up to stroke the younger's hair again.

Jimin held Namjoon's hand in his hair.

"Mr Kim...I-"

"You can call me hyung", said Namjoon.

Jimin smiled.

"Okay...Namjoon hyung...What do we do next?"

"Well...", said the elder, letting go, "As much as I'd like to kiss you again, I think we'd better read the letter. Maybe it'll give us some answers."

Jimin nodded, the smile still on his face.

"Adorable."

The younger blushed, "H-hyung!"

Namjoon chuckled, "Well, you are!"

"Just read it", said Jimin, looking away, the blush still evident on his cheeks.

"Okay, okay...let's see..."

"These two...knew each other?", said Namjoon, in shock.

"Why would Jeonghwa want V to take her mom's necklace?", asked Jimin.
