The reunion

Jungkook knocked on his boss' door. 

After a couple seconds, he heard the elder's voice, "Come in."

He turned back to Namjoon and Jimin, who were standing behind him in the hall. 

"Are you guys coming?"

"I think you can handle it yourself, Jungkook", said Namjoon, "Jimin and I can wait out here."

Jimin nodded, leaning his head against the elder. 

Jungkook took the hint and slowly entered the office. 

Yoongi looked up from behind his desk after hearing the door open and close.

"Oh, Jungkook!  How did it go? Did you find anything?"

"Well, um...", said Jungkook, not sure where to start. 

"Well?", Yoongi asked, eyeing the boy. 

Jungkook stood there, his mind now blank. 

"Let me guess", said the elder, "Did another wild story happen?"

The boy nodded. 

Yoongi sighed, "Well, just start from the beginning."

"Well...we went back to the jewellery store, and we were looking around. And I found a letter in a drawer, addressed to Park Jeonghwa, the owner of the store...from V..."

The elder's eyes widened. 

"What did it say?", he asked. 

"He and Jeonghwa know each other...Apparently, they knew each other when they were kids. And she knew he'd come to her store. I think she wanted him to take the necklace. He also mentioned his father. I think he's the reason behind V's actions. Anyway, it left me very curious, so I decided to show the other two...But before I could, he came back...And...and, he took me away..."

Yoongi opened his mouth in disbelief. 

"Jungkook...He stole you?"

Jungkook nodded. 

"Why? What was he after?"

The younger held up his ringed hand, "The ring."

"I thought it was stuck?", said Yoongi, raising an eyebrow. 

"V sucked it off!"

Jungkook turned towards the door to see two arms pulling Jimin away. 

Yoongi raised his other eyebrow, "Is that true?"

Jungkook sighed, "Yes...that's true..."

The elder smiled. 

Then Jungkook heard his boss start laughing, for the first time in their three years together. 

"Sir...? Why are you- I didn't mean for him to...I mean..."

"Oh, Jungkook...", said Yoongi, still laughing, "All those years searching for V, I never imagined him and one of my employees sucking each other's fingers in the rain...Life works in strange ways, doesn't it?"

Jungkook looked down. 

"I'm...I'm s-sorry...I didn't-"

Yoongi got up from his desk and walked over to the boy. He bent his knees slightly and looked Jungkook in the eyes. 

"It's okay, Jungkook, I- Hey, are...are you crying? Don't cry!"

"I-I'm sorry...I f-failed, I-I..."
