I'd been tutoring diamond for a week now meaning she only had 1 week left before she could return to school. Today we'd decided she'd come over to my place since her mama was having guests. She should be here any minute. Today also meant 5 days since maria was supposed to leave for 5 months, I wasn't sure how easy I was gonna take it until it actually happens, so I guess we'd just have to wait and see.

"Chres, the pretty girl is here for tutoring" she giggled running up the stairs

"Woah take it easy" I kissed her cheek laughing

I went downstairs, with maria following, diamond smiled slightly spotting me.

"You good ?" I asked smirking

"I'm doing alright" she shrugged

"Would you like anything to drink?" Maria asked grinning

"I'm fine thank you" diamond laughed

"Sorry pregnancy hormones" she replied

"S-sorry about that" I stuttered keeping my head low

"No it's fine, congratulations" she smiled being friendly

"Well I'll see you later" maria slung on her coat

"Bye boo" I went to kiss her

She dodged my kiss, my face scrunching up as she looked at me sternly.

"We'll talk about this later" she said quietly not wanting diamond to hear

She strutted out saying goodbye to diamond, I sighed stressfully damn. After a while of sorting out the books, we decided to sit on the floor in the living room since our apartment was too small for a dining table.

"W-was it me?" She looked at me

"No no of course not" I laughed slightly

"Just chill iyte ?" I said flicking through books

She sighed looking down, she seemed more distant then usual and I'm her own world. I didn't like that with my students, I wanted them to be able to talk to me and tell me how they genuinely feel. I stared at her for a second before slamming the big text book shut causing her to jump slightly.

"Okay today we're gonna do something a bit different" I announced

"Like ?" She asked

"Feelings, this comes into life skills but we usually do it with younger grades" I explained

"Then why are we doing it ?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows

"Because...I think it's necessary and you've already completed all of the set work" I shrugged

"O-okay" she stuttered not making eye contact

"You gotta trust me though" I said quietly

"Urm...I'll try" she sighed

"Okay I'm gonna show you multiple pictures and you have to tell me the first thing that comes to mind" I explained

She nodded and I found the correct set of flash cards before beginning. I started off with a picture of a bowl of fruit.

"Nature" she shrugged

"Good" I laughed

The next one I showed was a microphone.

"Fame" she loosened up slightly

The next was a music note.

"My way out" all her attention was on that card
