Returning back to her room, Xiaobai sat on the bed and turned to the mirror on her bedside table.

Dijun walked from his Hall to Xiaobai's Palace with Cha Cha in tow, holding a tray with sorrowless flower cakes that Xiaobai loved to make when she was Immortal.

Walking into Xiaobai's Palace, he found the Princess lying on her bed reading a book, her hair free from pins and ties and cascaded around her on the bed and her back.

"Cha Cha!" Xiaobai yelled and looked up from her book to see Prince Shen Ye standing there with Cha Cha beside him, holding a tray. Xiaobai sat up quickly as her book fell to the floor by her feet and went to bend down to pick it up.

Dijun held a hand up to stop her as he walked to her side and bent over to pick the book up, before motioning Cha Cha forward, he placed the book beside the plate of sorrowless cakes and picked the plate up.

"These are my way of cooking sorrowless flower cakes, I have been trying to learn to cook for you, so I would appreciate the feedback" he said to her and Xiaobai looked at him before picking up a cake.

Taking a bite from the cake, her eyes lit up and a smile lit her face.

"This is really good" Xiaobai said and Dijun smiled as Cha Cha left the tray with them and left them to be with themselves.

Dijun watched as the Princess shoved cakes into her mouth, mumbling how delicious the cakes were. After swallowing the food, she turned to him and asked him where he learnt to cook the cakes from.

"A girl I used to know from a faraway land, she loved making these and she did whatever she could to get me to fall in love with her" Dijun said and Xiaobai makes a face and turns away.

"Why do you want to be married to me? Is it cause of my position as Princess and my upcoming change to become Empress?" Xiaobai asked, wondering what his motives was for coming to propose marriage to her.

"I fell in love with the smart Imperial Princess who was kind and didn't take orders from anyone, you live freely while doing as your mother says" Dijun said and Xiaobai nods.

"Of course I do, I hate being tied down by my status as Imperial Princess, especially when I will become Imperial Empress Xiaobai" she said and huffed, moving her knees to her chest and leaned her chin to her knee.

"I will make sure you get what you want, now, my father has prepared the feast in your honour for tomorrow night, but tonight, I will take you to the village to see the first night of the Festival" Dijun said and stood up.

Holding a hand out to the Princess, she leaned her hand up and slid her hand into his as he helped her up before calling for Cha Cha.

"Yes your Highness?" Cha Cha asked bowing to the Prince before bowing to her mistress.

"Get her Highness changed and do her hair, I am taking you both out to the village for the Festival, my guard Qingti will follow up" Dijun said and Cha Cha nods, smiling happily.

"Thank you your Highness" Cha Cha said and helped Xiaobai get dressed after Prince Shen Ye left to return back to his Palace.

Cha Cha helped the Princess into a baby blue hanfu dress, slipping the slightly dark blue silk off her arms, the back hanging low at the back.

Cha Cha did her make up and did her hair to make it look more beautiful as Xiaobai watched in the mirror, Cha Cha had also helped slip on her shoes.

Xiaobai waited with Cha Cha in her Palace for the Prince as he appeared at the door and called out for Xiaobai.

"Your Highness?" Dijun called from outside and Cha Cha helped the Princess walk out of the Palace.

As soon as he saw her, he had never met anyone as beautiful as her, he didn't want to think about his supposed soulmate Ji Heng, for before his name appeared on the rock, he tried to deny he was in love with Feng Jiu.

Holding the hand made crown in his hands, he watched as Cha Cha and Xiaobai walked towards him, their arms linked.

Cha Cha let go of Xiaobai and walked behind her as they both greeted him and Qingti, who was a slight away from them.

"Your Highness, you are beautiful, Cha Cha has done a good job" Dijun said as Xiaobai slightly blushed.

Dijun then, held the crown up towards her head as he placed it gently on her head, the front of the crown against her forehead and the back held together with pink silk entwined with her hair.

He then took Xiaobai's arm and linked it with his, he walked her out of the Palace and towards the carriage that would take them into the village centre to enjoy the festivities.

As they passed the brick bridge, Xiaobai's eyes lit up, a smile on her face as she looked at shops that were decorated for the festival.

People looked their way and started chatting, greeting the Prince and his guest, the Imperial Princess from the Tang Kingdom.

Everyone talked about how beautiful the Princess looked and how good they looked together, they talked about her smile and her bright eyes that took everything in.

"This is like a dream" Xiaobai said to Dijun as he smiled and pulled her close and her smile disappeared from her face as she felt shocked about his affection towards her.

'He must really have fallen in love with me' Xiaobai thought to herself as a blush crept to her cheeks before she leaned more into his embrace.

'She seems more comfortable with me then she was in the Heavenly Palace, I don't want to hurt her and I don't want her to leave me' Dijun thought to himself as he moved her head back by her chin and kissed her gently and lovingly.

Everyone talked about the kissing couple and cheered for them, happy that their Prince has a bride he loved very dearly.

Xiaobai's eyes closed as she returned the kiss, her arms limp by her side as she was not sure what she should do in this situation since she was new to love.

Pulling away from her, Dijun looked into her eyes and smiled softly.

"Mine and mine forever" he said and kissed her forehead where her phoenix flower birth mark was, but it had disappeared since she was now a mortal
