Episode 7

Back in the Imperial Palace, Xiaobai was brought to her room to rest after the day they had together. Xiaobai was glad her mother decided to suspend her order to promote her daughter to Empress so she could have some time to think.

Lying on her bed reading a book, Xiaobai's mind wandered to the man she had met at the market. He had long white hair and his eyes a beautiful blackish brownish. Shaking her head, she banished the thoughts from her mind as she returned to her book.

Meanwhile, in the Wei Kingdom, Dong Hua Dijun resumed the place of the Prince who would become King in a few days. His father had decided to send him to the Tang Dynasty to propose marriage and an alliance to Princess Xiaobai.

Standing at the bottom of the stairs leading up to his father's throne, Dijun who was now Shen Ye bowed before his father.

"My son, I want you to go forth to the Tang Dynasty to propose marriage and an alliance to their Princess Xiaobai" his father said as Dijun nods.

"I accept your order your Majesty" Dijun said before turning to leave the throne room. Many maids bustled about, getting his things ready for the journey to the Tang Kingdom, where he would finally see Feng Jiu again.

As they finally left the Wei Dynasty Kingdom, they travelled many days before happening upon the Tang Dynasty.

At the Imperial Palace of the Tang Dynasty, the Queen met with the Prince Shen Ye as he told her of his father's plan to propose marriage as a alliance between the two Dynasties.

"I think that is a wonderful idea, but you must convince my daughter, she isn't the one to settle down until she has seen the world" the Queen said as Dijun nods.

As Xiaobai was taking a nap in her room, her maid Cha Cha walked into her Palace and bowed to her.

"Your Highness, her Majesty requires you to visit her in her Palace" Cha Cha says as Xiaobai sighs and gets up.

"Help me change" Xiaobai said as Cha Cha helped her change into a red hanfu dress, the backing was long as it trailed after her as she walked, a long red scarf that hung over her arms, the back long and rested against her dress.

Cha Cha walked behind Xiaobai as she walked to her mother's Palace. She was announced in as her mother allowed her in. As she walked in, she got the surprise of her life.

Dijun stood to the side of the room, awaiting the Princess to come in. When he turned to greet the Princess, he had never seen anyone as beautiful as her.

'Feng Jiu, you still look so beautiful' Dijun thought to himself as she walked past him to bow before her mother and greet her.

"Greetings to your Majesty" she said as her mother smiles patting the seat beside her.

"Come sit with my my sweet Xiaobai" her mother said as she nods and went to take her place beside her mother's.

'This man seems to recognise me, yet I have no idea who he is, but why is he here to require me by my mother's side' Xiaobai thought to herself.

"This is Prince Shen Ye of the Wei Dynasty, he wants to propose marriage to you my daughter to gain an alliance to our Kingdom" The Queen said as Xiaobai looked to her mother.

"You promised" Xiaobai said before her mother held a hand up.

"I have told the Prince of your desire to travel before settling down, so I have allowed him to try to convince you" the Queen said as Dijun stepped forward.

"If I may interrupt" he said and the Queen nodded her head to him in approval.

"If her Highness agrees to marry me and begin the alliance between our two countries, I will also not hold her Highness back if she wishes to travel" Dijun said as Xiaobai looks at him.

"May I think of this offer before giving you an answer?" Xiaobai asked as Dijun nods.

"Of course, take your time" Dijun said before leaving the Palace to stay in a hotel near the Palace. His mind was not on the alliance, but being married to Xiaobai, he could finally give her what she wanted.

As Xiaobai returned to her Palace, she sat on her bed as she thought of Prince Shen Ye's proposal. She was slightly happy that he would allow her to travel while they were engaged, but the thought of settling down was unsettling to her.

"Cha Cha" Xiaobai called out and her maid came in with a smile on her face as she bows to her.

"Should I agree to this proposal by the Prince?" Xiaobai asked as Cha Cha sat by her feet.

"I think this would be a wonderful celebration your Highness, he has agreed to allow you to travel while engaged, perhaps this is what you have been looking for, to secure your future as the Empress" Cha Cha said.

"For a maid, you make really good points" Xiaobai said and Cha Cha smiles happily at her.

"Anything for your Highness" Cha Cha said before getting up, telling her that she would fetch her some food and disappeared.

Deciding to go for a walk, Xiaobai waited for Cha Cha to come back before asking her to find where Shen Ye lived. After eating her food, Cha Cha helped her dress and did her hair as they walked out of the Palace walls.

Arriving in front of the hotel, Cha Cha helped Xiaobai up the stairs and they walked in before getting a table. Many people bowed to her and greeted her, in which she smiled and nodded as she asked Cha Cha to find Shen Ye.

As she asked her, Shen Ye appeared down the stairs and when he turned, there he saw Feng Jiu sitting there with her maid Cha Cha.

Walking up to them, he nodded to her and greeted her as she turned in her seat and nods back to him.

"Your Highness" Xiaobai and Cha Cha both said bowing their heads slightly to him as he smiles.

"I have agreed to your proposal, the terms are as they should be, you allow me to travel as I wish until I decided to be married to you" Xiaobai said as Shen Ye nods his head.
