He walked forward and decapatated the man to bring the head to the council. He got the remaining soldiers to loot the corpses(other than the man, of course) and the house of any valuables.
They did as they were told while Garoque wrapped the head in a linen cloth. Then he put up a flag claiming the land as theirs. Just as he did that, the other seven emerged from the house.
One of them lit a flare. Five minutes later, he heard a bunch of booted feet trampling the undergrowth and then a host of twenty Draconians marched out and got in their routine of guard shifts.
As for Garoque, he and his seven ran to the council. It took five days to travel the woods for the roads were crowded by humans and their guards. Eight of them would not be able o fight through all those guards.
On the day of arrival they walked up to the cave. Fifteen guards nodded as they passed. Three of them went ahead to tell the council of there arrival. The wait was only five minutes long. A guard rushed out and told them to enter. "This is it boys" said Garoque as they entered.
