The summer was one of the happiest times of my life.
I grew closer to my friends... I grew closer to Harry.
I remember one time that summer. It was like a dream.
The theatre group had gotten together for their annual hiking trip. I had never gone before... I was always scared to walk such a long distance with my heart.
But Harry was going... So I was going. It was a beautiful day. The air was thin and the sun was warm. The shade of the trees made the trail a perfect temperature.
The sun felt so good on my skin, so warm. But it still fell short to the embrace of Harry.
The hike was quite a walk, but I held through. Breathing heavier than normal... And it didn't help that the sight of Harry in the sun caused my heart to flutter.
His tanned skin and strong arms were exposed from the cutoff shirt he was wearing. He wore a smile throughout the entire walk. He took in everything on the way, and I took in every ounce of him.
We reached a hill. It was very steep but I had gone that far... I wasn't going to give up now. Harry gave me a worried look.
"Chase we can wait here for the rest of the group to get back." He assured me.
"I feel fine. I can do this" I didn't mean to snap when I said it, but I hated letting my condition stop me from doing enjoyable things.
Harry stayed close to me, hoping I wouldn't notice he kept his hand hovering over my back incase the worst were to happen.
...and its a good thing he did. Halfway up the hill I became very winded.. I felt faint and wasn't able to catch my breath.
I saw the worry on Harry's face.
"it's okay Chase" he whispered as he picked me up and propped me up on his back. He tried his best to stay calm and make sure I stayed calm too.
"Just breathe"
I rested my head on his shoulder and his soft curls brushed up against my face. I felt so safe.He carried me down the hill and sat me down on a log and quickly sat beside me.
"It's okay, you're okay. You're safe now. We can wait here"
I nodded as I worked on catching my breath and leaned my head into his shoulder.
"than..thank you" I finally had caught my breath enough to speak.
Harry then put his arm around me and brought me into a hug.
"Anything for you"We stayed like that until the group returned.
I loved him. I loved him so much.
