Harry got to go on a beach trip with me and my family that summer.
The water was still cold, but the sand was warm and white.
The balance of the two.
It reminded me of purity.
How pure love can be.
When two people truly truly care for one another and it feels like destiny.
Like they are puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly or notes in a song that make perfect harmony.
Something just clicks. That something that I believe to be pure love.
That was Harry and I.
Purely, deeply, in love.

I remember my heart feeling that weird electric feeling again when I felt Harry pick me up and run straight for that freezing water.
I was so mad.
I hated and I mean HATED the cold water and he knew it.
But the moment my head came out from under the water and I saw him with that goofy smile standing there giggling like an idiot, all that mad just washed away.
I stood there shivering, but also smiling.
This goof was mine and I had him to throw me into cold water for eternity.
He walked up to me and wrapped me in a warm hug.

"I'm sorry, love."

"You are not!" I wailed as I broke free from his embrace and tackled him back down into the water.

He didn't let go. He came straight out of the blue waves and carried me back to the shore potato sack style, plopped me down on the towel, and grabbed one from the bag quickly wrapping it around him.

"Enough of that, I'm freezing"
He laughed.

After a bit of warming up in the sun Harry and I walked along the beach like one of those cheesy romance movies. We watched the sun set together. For any girl, it was a dream. I couldn't believe it was my reality.

He was my reality and the scars and pain of our past washed away like footprints taken by the tide.

When we were together we were unstoppable.

"Forever?" Harry asked as he started to draw a heart in the sand.

"Always." I reassured him as I connected his half of the heart with mine.
