Georgie got taken on the plane on a stretcher and Elvis sat down next to her and held her hand. "My dad is going to go mental" she said looking up at the ceiling of the plane. "He will come to terms with it" he said Georgie shook her head "he hates you" she said "he has every right to, I was an idiot, I shattered your heart and that wasn't fair" he said Georgie nodded "the thing is, I know you broke my heart, but sometimes I think your the only one that can fix it" she said he nodded "I want to be happy with you, I want to grow old with you, I want to have kids, buy a house, I want it all but I don't want it unless it's with you" he said Georgie just squeezed his hand "everything's going to be okay" he said she nodded "I know" she said closing her eyes. Elvis lied back in his seat holding her hand and closed his eyes himself.
They arrived back at the airport and Georgie was still asleep. An ambulance was picking them up to take them to the hospital. They got Georgie off and she opened her eyes. She gripped Elvis's hand tightly "ah" she said moving slightly "the pain meds have worn off we will give you some more" smiled one of the paramedics she just held Elvis's hand tightly "is it your leg?" One of them asked sitting in the back of the ambulance "no, no it's my hip" she cried "what's wrong with your hip?" She asked "I think I have a hairline fracture to my pelvis" she said "wow you have been through the wars" she smiled "literally" Elvis smiled "you should be proud" she smiled Georgie nodded "proud of almost getting myself killed" she said "you do an incredible job" she smiled "sharp scratch" she added Georgie nodded as the needle went in "I'll give you some morphine, are you alright with it?" She asked Georgie nodded "I think so" she smiled she nodded and gave her some morphine. Elvis sat by her head and kissed her cheek "this is reversed roles isn't it" she laughed "what you as the patient?" He laughed "remember when Abu shot you, I was supposed to get married, I knew you'd pull a stunt to stop me" she smirked he smiled "good job I did isn't it" he smiled she nodded "you did this" she smiled holding his hand and kissing it he smiled "your going to be alright we're going to get you all fixed up and back to Afghan in no time" he smiled she nodded and closed her eyes holding his hand.
They arrived at the hospital and they got her onto a ward and 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door. Georgie looked over to it and saw her mum and dad "I didn't..." she started "I called them" he said "why did you do that?" She asked "because they're your parents and they love you very much" he said she nodded "thank you" she smiled he smiled and kissed her hand. Georgie smiled at her mum and dad and Grace walked over and hugged Georgie "careful mum" she smiled hugging her back "sorry baby" she said holding her face in her hands "it's alright" she smiled "are you alright?" She asked Georgie nodded "I'm going to be fine" she smiled "and you've got Elvis to thank for that" she said looking at him Grace faced him and smiled "thank you" she said he smiled and hugged her "I guess this is a welcome back into the family then?" She smiled Elvis smiled and so did Georgie "we're trying to forgive and forget" she smiled Grace smiled and Elvis held Georgie's hand again "Grace I want to explain, I want to explain to you and Max" he said who was standing in the doorway. "On the morning of our wedding, I found out I had a daughter. Debbie turned up on my doorstep with a little girl in her arms. I didn't know I had a daughter, that was the moment in my life where everything flipped upside down, I sacrificed the one thing I wanted more than anything in this world because I thought I was giving Laura some sort of life" he said Grace didn't know what to say "you cheated on George?" She asked "no, no I would never, I met Debbie twice before me and Georgie met, when we did I ended things with Debbie because I knew she was for me" he said Grace nodded "how old is Laura?" She asked "she's almost 2 now" he said Grace nodded "and you have her sometimes?" She asked he nodded "she is my life now" he said Grace smiled "but I think Georgie might just be what is missing from my adventures with little Laura" he said Georgie smiled "she's never been very maternal, do you reckon you could change her?" Laughed Grace Elvis smiled "she doesn't need changing she's perfect as she is" he said Grace smiled Max was still standing just looking at them. "Dad say something please" she said "I'm glad you're alright kid" he said she smiled thinking he was going to shout "I'm alright dad" she smiled. He held out his arms she smiled hugging him gently "thank you" she said "for what?" He asked "not shouting" she said he kissed her head "your love life is none of my business even if I don't like it" he said she smiled into his chest "plus, you really love him and he clearly really loves you too" he said she smiled "I do love her Max, I'm so sorry she shouldn't have had to go through that" he said "no she shouldn't have but it looks like the problem is solved now, so we can forget about the past" he said Elvis smiled and held out his hand "thank you Max" he said Max pulled him in for a hug with him and Georgie and smiled "you two have got something special never let anything ruin it again" he said they both nodded and smiled "right then, that's that sorted" he smiled "when can you come home?" He asked "I don't know the doctors haven't said anything about going home just that I have to be on bed rest for a couple of weeks" she said "well you can have plenty of that at home" he said Georgie smiled "I want to be home as much as you want me home dad" she smiled.
They sat chatting for a while when the doctor walked in. "Okay Georgie, you can go home tomorrow, if we are satisfied that you are comfortable in a chair" she said Georgie nodded "after 5 or 6 days you should be alright on crutches for another 4 or 5 weeks for your leg, then both feet should be working again" she smiled Georgie smiled "thank you" she said.
It got to 11pm "you guys can go home, I will still be here tomorrow" she smiled Grace nodded "we will come and get you in the morning make sure to give us a ring" she said Georgie nodded "Elvis do you want to come home with us or are you staying?" Asked Grace "thank you, for the offer, but I'm going to stay here" he smiled Grace nodded "you can go back with them if you want, you can stay in my bed, come back in the morning" Georgie said he shook his head "no, I'm alright in this chair, it's comfier than it looks" he smiled Georgie smiled and held his hand "alright lovely see you in the morning" her dad said as they walked out. Elvis sat down on the edge of her bed "I love you so much Georgie" he said she smiled "I love you too" she smiled "are you really going to sleep in that chair?" She asked he nodded "let go a second" she said he let go of her hand and she tried to move over "Georgie what are you doing?" He asked "I just want to move over" she said budging over slowly "here" she smiled "Georgie you need rest" he said "I'm getting rest, but I'm not going to sleep knowing you're sleeping in a plastic chair" she said he smiled and lied down next to her putting his arm around her back "I love you" he said she smiled and lent onto his chest "I love you too" she said drifting off to sleep.
