6 months had come around and Georgie was going back to work. She had started going back to the gym and training 4 months after she had given birth, she couldn't do it any sooner due to her scar. Elvis rolled over in bed to look at Georgie standing in her army uniform putting her beret on at 5:45am "wow you look gorgeous" he smiled she smiled looking in the mirror "I missed this" he said he smiled getting up and wrapping his arms around her "you've got yourself back up to their fitness level?" He asked she nodded "I'm only training soldiers anyway" she smiled he smiled and kissed her lips "I do love a woman in uniform" he smiled "thank you for this" Georgie said Elvis looked confused and sat down on the bed "for staying here with Thea, for letting me go back to work" she said he smiled "we live in the 21st century George, this should be a joint decision not a mother's job" he said she smiled and hugged him "I'll see you at 4 then" she smiled he smiled and kissed her cheek "have a good day Babe" he smiled she smiled and left. She walked downstairs and her mum was sitting at the table with Tillie "coffee?" She asked Georgie nodded and smiled "you're up early" Georgie smiled sitting sown at the table taking Tillie whilst her mum made coffee "she wanted to get up" she smiled Georgie nodded "I'm so lucky, Thea could sleep through a bomb, she only wakes up once in the night now" she said "where's Marie?" Georgie asked "she was exhausted George, I told her I'd look after her for last night, give her some sleep" she said Georgie nodded and smiled "it must be hard for her, with fingers away" she said Grace nodded. Georgie sat and drank her coffee and then got up passing Tillie to Grace again "see you later Georgie have a good day sweetheart" Grace smiled "bye mum" she smiled walking out of the front door and getting into the car.
She arrived and got out walking into the office "Hi stranger" Charlie smiled Georgie smiled and walked over to him hugging him "hi Charlie" she smiled in his arms "so 2 section are here?" She asked Charlie nodded "deployed tomorrow" he smiled Georgie smiled "where are you going?" She asked "Syria" he said making her a coffee "oooh how exotic" she smiled "I am sorry to have to do this to you Lane but you've got to pass the fitness" he said she nodded "I know" she smiled "and pass the fitness without causing yourself injury please" he said she nodded "I've been doing it in the gym, I can do it Charlie I promise" she said he nodded "come on then" he smiled. She walked with him to the gym and she went and got changed into her gym gear. "Got it?" He asked passing her a medicine ball she nodded sitting down against the wall and throwing it "nice" he smiled she smiled "please stop if you're hurting" he said she nodded "I will I promise" she said standing up "thigh pull" he smiled she walked over to the bar and they adjusted it to her height and and pulled it upwards Charlie smiled "yep" he smiled marking it on his clipboard "last one Georgie, run 2k in under 11 minutes" he said she nodded and got on the running machine. "This isn't as quick as my old time used to be" she said "how quick have you done it?" He asked "10 mins 50 seconds" she said Charlie nodded "that's alright that's under 11" he smiled she nodded and Charlie sat down while she started running. "Come on Georgie!" Charlie said she kept running and finished the 2k "I didn't do it did I?" She asked Charlie looked at his stopwatch and smiled hugging her "you've passed Georgie, you've passed" he said she smiled hugging him holding him close "how quick?" She asked "10 mins 3 seconds" he smiled "you knocked almost a minute off of your time" he smiled she smiled "I told you I was dedicated to coming back" she smiled he smiled and walked out of the gym with her. "Ready to re meet all of the lads" Charlie smiled she nodded smiling "I'm so ready" she smiled Charlie opened the door to the training room and Georgie walked in. "Georgie!" Monk shouted they all ran over and hugged her "hi guys" she smiled "alright don't suffocate her, jumping on top of her" Charlie smiled "it's alright" Georgie smiled "I've missed you all" she smiled tears in her eyes "we've missed you so much" Brains smiled she smiled "so how is Thea?" Smiled Kingy Georgie nodded and smiled "she's doing great" she smiled "and Elvis?" He asked "he's also doing great, I think we're going to be okay now" she smiled "I'm glad to hear it" Kingy smiled Georgie smiled and sat down "it's just nice to be able to drink coffee again" she smiled "I bet!" Brains smiled "so I heard Elvis has quit and he's training soldiers from here?" Asked Monk Georgie nodded "yeah, yeah he is but not for another 3 months, he took paternity leave, I just took medical discharge" she smiled "did you not want to?" Brains asked "I um, he's better with kids" she said Charlie just looked at Georgie and she smiled at him "you don't have to explain yourself to them Georgie" Charlie said Georgie looked at them "I don't have to but I like to, their my best friends" she smiled "I didn't find it easy being a mum, I had postnatal depression" she said looking down at her coffee in her hands "but you're okay now?" Monk asked Georgie nodded and smiled "I'm okay now" she smiled Brains wrapped his arms around her "then that's all that matters" he smiled Georgie smiled "it's nothing to be ashamed of Georgie" fingers said she smiled and nodded taking a deep breath. "Anyway, fingers. You're not giving it up to be at home with Marie, like Elvis did" monk laughed he looked a bit guilty "Marie's alright, she knows she's married to a soldier, she knew this is what it was going to be like" Georgie smiled looking at fingers "plus, it's easy for me and Elvis to train soldiers, were qualified to do it, fingers isn't" she said everyone nodded "so Georgie is that what you're going to do? Train medics?" Asked Monk Georgie looked at Charlie and then back at the rest of them "I'm coming back to 2 section" she smiled Brains and monk hugged her, all 3 of them falling back onto the sofa "I passed my medical and my fitness this morning so I'm officially back" she smiled Brains smiled at her "we're so glad you're back" he said she smiled "I'm glad to be back "does that mean you're coming to Syria with us in a couple of days?" Fingers asked "no, I need some training to check I remember everything but when you get back from Syria, I'll be your medic again" she smiled they all smiled "I honestly thought we had seen the last of you Georgie Lane" monk smiled she smiled "you can't get rid of me that easily" she smiled everyone smiled and they sat chatting for a while before they started training.
