ANGIE
✧ ✦ ✧
The time came for my last class of the day, and I was still fuming after I met with Principal Shadid. He assured me that I wouldn't get in any trouble because he acknowledged that I was provoked.
However, he said he'll get back to me after speaking with Oliver.
Oliver was an obsessive freak but he seemed to hold a lot of weight in this school, metaphorically of course. Principal Shadid mentioned something about him being a genius, but I'd have to see it to believe it.
Besides, being smart doesn't give you the right to be such a little shît.
Strolling into my class, lost in the thoughts of making Oliver eat my fist, I made the solemn decision to push him out of my mind.
I had family and consumer science class right now (the American, watered-down version of home economics) and I was quite looking forward to it.
After breaking my promise to Principal Shadid in terms of my behaviour, I was determined to try succeeding academically.
I was never and will never be the smartest grape in the bunch and Chemistry is already validating such. However, for what I lacked in brains, I was rewarded with the use of my hands.
I preferred doing subjects that taught me life skills rather than useless textbook knowledge but everyone rated your intelligence on the latter.
For now, the plan was to focus on the things I could do and hopefully, that would be enough to impress Principal Shadid.
If that happens, maybe I can convince him to help me live on campus rather than with my parents.
There were only a handful of students when I got there. Most notably, Richmond's queen bee, Jenna, was sitting at one of the desks, looking just as fabulous as the first time I saw her.
