"And then what happened," Lori asked as she placed yet another cupcake in front of me.

I finished chewing the piece of delectable apple pie in my mouth before I started peeling back the cupcake wrapper.

"That daft cow told us that our presentation wasn't as 'informative' as the others and that we should've made a greater effort to ensure that it was more 'comprehensible' for everyone." I scoffed and shook my head, caught between my anger and how fantastic the pie was.

I was still reeling from the events at school today. After Oliver and I worked so hard on our project for FACS, Holden gave us a B-.

Now, I wouldn't mind it if it were any other situation. After all, that's the best grade I've gotten in my life. However, Oliver and I had the best presentation by leaps and bounds.

It wasn't perfect. I stuttered a few times during the verbal aspects, but, considering the fact that everyone else did half-arsed posters, we deserved something higher than a B-.

I asked him about it after class and the excuses he gave made absolutely no sense. It was clear to see that our grade had nothing to do with our presentation, and everything to do with his dislike for Oliver.

I've been fuming ever since.

Not only was it incredibly annoying, but the disappointment was suffocating. Oliver and I worked hard on that project.

Yesterday, after we left school early, we went out for coffee and spent some time at the café practising our presentation. Then we got home and spent the better half of the afternoon doing the same.

I was confident in that presentation, thinking it would be the start of a new era in my education.

For him to give us that grade just because he has a grudge with Oliver, it was incredibly disheartening and I couldn't stand it. Why should I even try, if my grades aren't going to be a reflection of my hard work?
