ANGIE

"Are you seriously going to wear that?" Oliver asked as I walked up to the car.
"What's wrong with my outfit?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.
"Yeah, what's wrong with her outfit?" Brady added, and we both turned to Oliver awaiting what was surely a logical answer.
"It's cold?" He stated incredulously, looking an odd combination of crazed composure in his multiple layers of clothing.
Brady snorted a laugh, although even he had worn a cosy jumper.
Of course, I felt the chill as soon as I stepped outside. But as fast as the regret came, so did the reminder of how ridiculously hot I looked.
The fishnet stockings were simply not autumn friendly and what little coverage it could've provided was vetoed by my mini, mini skirt. I would've worn a long-sleeved top instead of the black short-sleeved crop had I only known the temperature inside my house was not the same as the temperature outside.
The question is, was I ever going to admit it?
"It's not that cold," I lied but nature itself sought to debunk me as a sudden chilly breeze almost sent me to my knees.
"Whatever you say cupcake," Brady teased as he jumped into the backseat.
I smiled brightly at Oliver, keeping up my facade as he opened the passenger side door for me.
"Thank you cupcake," I whispered as I slipped inside and I didn't miss the smile he was trying to stifle.
The warmth of his car eased over me in an instant but I hadn't a moment to appreciate it because Kiko leaned over into the front seat and placed a big kiss on my cheek in greeting. I laughed as I tried to manoeuvre my arms to hug her back, just as Oliver had made his way into the driver's seat.
"Hey Zack," I greeted as well, turning around to smile at him as Kiko let go of me.
Oliver sat waiting for me to put on my seatbelt and only took off after I'd done so. Brady and Kiko continued whatever argument they were having before they stopped to pick me up and I shook my head at their childishness.
