Reunion (Hyun-Jin POV )

"Eric?"

"Well, are you going to stand there or give your brother a hug?"

I was so happy to see him! I haven't seen him since I left. He looks a lot like dad almost. Well, what I remember of him.

"It's been a very long time! How has my sister been?" 

"I have been okay. Being an idol is insane! Also, how did you get in here?"

"Well, I was wandering around and I ran into Johnny. He snuck me in here so I can see you and tell you something. I'm turning eighteen soon and I.."

He was having a hard time getting out what he wanted to say like he was scared of my reaction. "It's okay you can say it."

"I'm going into the military."

It shocked me at first, almost made me heartbroken. 

"I know that's how our father was killed, he died saving us and I want to honor him and follow in his footsteps. I know that scares you, but I want to be a hero too."

A little back story real quick. When I was young my dad was in the military. My mom was pregnant with my brother at the time when he was deployed.  He was fighting in the war and he got shot, he saved his fellow troops and died in the hospital a few days later after gaining the victory. When the military came to our door my mom lost it. She sat me down that day and told me that dad wasn't coming home.

 *A tear begins to fall down Hyun-Jin's face* 

*Johnny wipes it away.*

I'm sorry everyone. My mom went into labor the next month and her son was named after the man that saved us. Eric. Anyway back to the story.   

"Look I'm proud of you for making such a big decision. I'll support you every step of the way. I never got to see you grow up, but I'm seeing you now and I couldn't be happier. Does mom know?"

"She knows. She wasn't happy about it at first, but she accepted it."

A silence fell between us but I still was happy to see him even if it was only for a short while.

"So when do you go?"

"Next June. I'm excited Hyun-Jin. I never felt right about something in my life. I also have a wonderful girlfriend!"

He pulled out his phone and he showed me pictures of his girlfriend. She looks a lot like a girl back at my school and turned out she was her younger sister. It's a very small world! 

"Her name is Rose and she is from Paris."

I know who she is. Her older sister oddly enough her name is Parmelia. She was a straight-A student very smart and always smelled good and now I know why. 

"She's very pretty Eric. Does she know about you going into the military?"

"Yes, and she is happy for me."

A few seconds passed and Eric stated that he was hungry and wondered if there were any good places around and I told him about the cafe that I have gone to and we went there and he got to meet my bandmates and Kai.

"Eric?"

"Yes, Kai, Eric. He is from back home."

"Oh, I thought he was another childhood friend."

"Do you assume that every guy I meet is a childhood friend?"

"Well, how was I supposed to know that you are related. You don't look alike!"
