Around three years after The Letter came, it was the big day: Lisa Winters was turning thirteen! After so many years of being called a baby by her older friends, she was finally a teenager!
To celebrate, her parents organised an outing with her friends - they would go on a bus to a farm, stay there for the night and come back the next afternoon. Lisa was excited (on the outside), and had called just her close friends - Myra, Alfie and Emma - so it would be easier to organise.
Two days before the Big Day, on September 16th, Lisa's parents drove her to the farm for the final preparations, although there weren't that many - they only had to set up a giant tent to sleep in and some cold food and juice for the fridge.
The day before the sleepover, Lisa packed her bag for the night and checked with her friends if they needed anything.
And then... it was The Big Day! Lisa woke up to home-made pancakes with strawberries and cream, and... a new jacket from her parents. This year's was navy blue, just like the last one of Jack's. Tears sprang to her eyes, but she quickly blinked them away, remembering just in time that it was her birthday. (Whew, half an hour saved.)
The small, private bus that they had rented arrived at their house, and they loaded up all their luggage. Then, after picking everyone up, they drove to the farm.
A/N: To make it less confusing, I will edit the chapter names so that they show the number as well.
