The next day being Saturday, Nonso didn't allow Kamsi to do anything, she told her that her condition doesn't need stress, she was just with her watching her work as they discuss. Their cleaning schedule is just the same as theirs but the difference is that their mother did the cooking. They ate and they prepared for the hospital except Ugoo. Nonso still insisted on not telling her the reason for the checkup. They got to the hospital and their father waited in the car. Kamsi followed them in and Nonso went to see the doctor while she and her mother waited at the reception. They stayed for some minutes before Nonso and the doctor walked out of the office and went straight to her mother, "good day doctor!", she greeted smiling at him.

"Good day! How is the family?", he said smiling back at her.

"We are fine sir", she replied.

"Good to hear!"

"How is she?", she asked referring to Nonso.

"She's still intact", he replied nodding his head and Nonso smiled, "my regards to your husband", he said and walks away.

"It's settled then!", her mother said to Nonso with a sigh of relief, "you are still a virgin", she smiled at her. They got to the car and her father asked how it went and she told him.

"That's my girl!", he exclaimed happily.

When they got home, Kamsi was surprised when Nonso told her that she does virginity test every month, she felt sorry for accusing her of not being a virgin any longer. She was relieved and at the same time happy for her for maintaining her promise, "Emmy is really the man for you", she told her.

"At first he didn't believe me when I told him that I'm still a virgin, but was surprised and at the same time happy when he realized I was saying the truth"

"How did he know?"

"He said he will know if I could allow him to check"

"And you did!", exclaimed Kamsi.

"No of course", Nonso laughed, "he insisted but I refused so he has no other choice but to take what I said"

"I love that", she said having more respect for her.

"I told him that I'm not yet ready lose my virginity till my wedding night and he said that he would find out the truth then"

"Has he proposed yet?", she asked excitedly.

"No, even if he does I would love to further my education to the university level before any other thing", she said and Kamsi couldn't agree more.

It's Monday morning and Nonso was preparing for school, Kamsi wished that she could go with her for the fact that none of them have realized that she's pregnant yet but Nonso's parents refused, they told her that they didn't see the need for her to go. When everyone left that morning, she couldn't get her eyes off the clock waiting for evening to come as she was all alone. Nonso later came back and told her how everyone including the teachers were asking after her.

"Even Nonye?", Kamsi asked. Nonye was known as the gossiper of their class. She seems to know everything about everyone and nobody knows how she gets her information. She once told them that their English teacher's husband is a 'woman beater' who uses her as a punching bag every day, no one believes her until one day she didn't come to school and Nonye told them that her husband has beaten her again and this time have given her a black patch in the eye and that is the reason she couldn't make it to school. She even went as far as taking them to her house to see for themselves and they did when Mrs. James doesn't know how to hide her eyes after realizing that it was them when they knocked, she has no other choice but to open the door for them and accept them in when Nonye told her that they came to know how she is doing since they didn't see her in school and they missed her. She lied to them that she had an accident and fell from okada and that the bike man broke his leg while she herself got the black patch in her eyes. They told her sorry and left, since that day nobody doubts her.
