Third Person PoV ⋆ ☽ ⋆
Tony and Bruce were leaving once again back to the compound.
Percy couldn't help but feel sad as Tony stood with his hands shoved into his suit pocket, ready to leave again...before Bucky, Percy had spent most of her time with Tony in his lab. She watched in awe as he made her new weapons and suits to fit her every need-he'd really been good to her.
The first months she was at the compound Percy would have nightmares every night and every night without fail, Tony would stay with her. He made he hot chocolates, made her laugh and showed her how to mend her weapons without his help. Or some nights, he'd just sit with her and say nothing. He knew exactly what she needed because he'd been the one to save her from Hydra; he'd carried her away from the hell.
With Pietro speeding behind them.
"I'm off again kid" Tony sighed, rocking back on his heels.
"Can't you stay?" Percy asked already knowing Tony couldn't.
He was an important man with meetings and so many things he had to do.
She knew he couldn't leave his responsibilities as well as Pepper. Who knows how long Percy would be searching for her Father and Brother...
"I'm sorry, blue" Tony said guilty.
"I'll miss you" he added.
"I'll miss you too" she replied honestly.
The two stared awkwardly for a moment before Percy threw her arms around his shoulders and squeezed tightly.
"take care of yourself" she pleaded before detaching from him and walking back to the jet.
Nat and Steve stood in front of Tony, the three avengers watching Percy walk up the ramp and into Bucky's waiting arms. Bucky wrapped himself around the Italien woman and stroked her hair. He caught them watching and nodded to Tony respectfully-it was a promise that he'd look after her.
Pietro appeared from a blue blur besides them, nudging Bucky so he could get ahold of Percy with a mischievous grin. Bucky rolled his eyes and followed them further into the jet.
"You gonna be okay, Tony?" Nat questioned, knowing her friend too well.
"Who? Me? Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna get my head in work. You know, the usual parties, girls all the boring things" Tony said playfully hiding his pain about leaving Percy again.
