Bucky's PoV ⋆ ☽ ⋆
It was midnight, the night after the mission.
Persephone had passed out in Tony's arms and was taken to the infirmary where she had the bullet removed and the wound stitched up; Steve told me she'd refused to stay in overnight and had retreated to her room with more iciness than usual.
I hadn't managed to sleep yet.
Memories were keeping me awake as always.
Angry with my stupid fractured mind, I got up from my bed to stare out of my bedroom window. It was a starry night, I always liked looking at the stars, they reminded me that I wasn't at Hydra anymore...there I couldn't see them ever.
A figure caught my attention, it was a woman, she was jogging lightly.
I squinted trying to see who it was-her hair shimmered black with a tint of blue.
Persephone.
Throwing on some clothes I went outside determined to get answers: who was that man to her?
The night wasn't cold. It was humid and buzzing with life in the summer heat, I began jogging around her route hoping to bump into her-I heard footsteps going at a steady pace and looked ahead of me.
I sped up my pace and arrived by her side, she rolled her eyes at me obviously aware that I was here already.
"What do you want, Soldier?" She said grimly.
My eyes flittered down to her injure leg that was wrapped in a bandage just round her calf, blood seeping into the white material.
"Persephone your leg!" I exclaimed yanking her by her arm to stop her from moving.
"How the hell are you even walking?" I questioned with furrowed brows.
She folded her arms with no expression and I knew then she wouldn't tell me.
"yeah go ahead you do that little secret thing. But your coming inside and resting-it's one in the morning" I ordered angrily.
I wanted her to stop being so stupid and just rest.
Talk to me.
"You think you and Captain are the only super soldiers?" She said quietly...I paused to gaze at her in shock, how?
The only way she would've gotten a copy of the serum would be from a very dead Howard Stark or...
