Part 20

"You're alive!" Niall laughs, walking to where Lexi is standing.
Lauren's hand fell off of his sleeves as he moves to her.
"Uhm, yeah." She laughs awkwardly.
"I didn't know you are home. You didn't mention-"
"I didn't think she would come. She never like those things." Lauren quickly cuts him off.
"Oh," Lexi hums, turning back to the stove. "What things?" Lexi asks.
"We went to see a basketball game in your uni. I mean it's not golf but it's okay I guess-"
"Okay? The game was great!"
Lexi rolls her eyes as she waits for the water to boil, leaving the two to continue giggling.
Niall immediately notices Lexi turning away, clearing his throat sensing her irritation and walks to her side.
"Whatchu got there?" He asks.
"I'm making some ramen." She mutters. "I haven't leave my room since, I don't know."
He just stand there watching her every move not knowing what to say but not wanting to leave too.
"I'll go to my room and change for a sec." Lauren butts in. "Uh, there a party hosted by Jeremy. You remember him don't you, Lexi?" Lauren mentions.
"Yes." She doesn't, but she doesn't want to look inferior to Lauren in front of Niall. She did miss out on a lot of university events because of her activities outside, but he doesn't need to know that. Not that it matters.
"Niall do you want to..." Lauren asks trying to gain his attention back but of course she'd lose him, she knew she would.
"Niall," Lexi nods to Lauren's direction.
Niall is staring at her too deep to realise she's finally staring back.
"Huh?" He shakes himself. "Sorry, what?" He asks again laughing and she can't help but chuckles at his blushing face.
Lexi nods to Lauren again and he shakes his head.
"Oh, no. I think I'm good." He gives Lauren a smile" I don't know this Jeremy guy-"
"I'll introduce you." She says but he shakes his head.
"I'll just keep this one company now. Haven't seen her in ages." Niall says bumping his hip to Lexi's earning a shove.
Lauren looks at the two of them showing her disappointment, Niall is too busy looking at Lexi to notice.
Lauren leaves the room loudly trying to once again get Niall's attention, slamming doors and stomping as loudly as she can.
Lexi turns to Niall after hearing the door slam and sighs. "You don't have to stay." She tells him.
"Why? You don't miss having me around?" He asks jumping and sitting on the counter so he can look at her face while she cooks. "I miss having you around." He says making her chuckle.
"Stop it." She slaps his leg and he jumps down.
"Come on, let me help you." He laughs pushing her aside taking over the stove.
