Part 44

"What the hell are you doing here?" Lexi asks groggily rubbing her tired eyes.
"You can't just walk away from my life for the second time that way. I deserve a better goodbye." He demands.
Lexi finally opens her eyes realizing how serious he is being. "I'm not gonna have goodbye sex with you. Goodnight." She rolls her eyes closing the door.
Niall slams his hand on her door, making her flinches in surprise. "Sorry," His eyes soften.
He pulls his hand back and rubs the small pain away making her smile slightly. He sighs looking at her before grabbing her hand.
"Come with me." He says.
"I'm in my pjs."
He shakes her head pulling her out of the house.
"Wait," She says. "Let me lock the door first." She pulls her hand back.
He waits for her to get her key anxiously, and she tries to walk the slowest she can while she thinks whether it's wise to go with him or not.
She finally got out of the house and locks the door.
Niall softly grabs her hand as he leads her back up to where his house is and then a little bit further up. She can see the empty land and the chains that surrounds it, the 'private property' sign still there.
"We shouldn't go in." She says.
He raises his eyebrows before lifting his leg, crossing it to the other side. "Nobody will see us." He tells her.
He holds her by the waist as they both cross over the chains. It's dark, as it usually is. They find a place to sit, still holding hands.
"Not a lot of stars tonight." He sighs disappointed.
Lexi laughs. "Wait a while."
Soon, one pops up, then another one, then the sky is filled with small white dots. Niall lets out a sigh smiling. He turns to her, trying to find her eyes in the dark.
"Do you want to go or stay till sunrise?" He asks.
She finds his eyes with ease before shrugging. "Stay till sunrise."
They both lay down on the grass looking at the stars.
