chapter 10: Suspicion

"Why am I here?"
"What did I do to witness this? "
"Why me?"
"Who killed me?"
These kind of question keep  ringing in my mind and I couldn't get it out.

"Conny..."

If I knew this is going to happen, I should've go to the author to change this story... Or I should've complained to the author making this an scary manga.
But that's impossible, it's not like I can go and meet them.
And it's too late now.

It must have been very hard to Emma and Norman to witness that personally.

They must be back by now.

I keep sobbing and crying silently in my bed but I heard Emma and Norman went inside so I pretend to sleep.
They are only a few  meter away from my bed but they are talking to each other and whispering, I couldn't heard what they said but I'm pretty sure they decided to escape this farm.
And all of the kids are sleeping peacefully.

and before I knew it I've fell asleep, the sun is rising up.
The clocks are alarming, the kids are waking up and preparing.
Greetings each other and fixing their bed.
I felt empty and heavy.
I went to the bathroom to wash my face but my face really looks tired, my eyes are puffy, my nose is red.
Did I really cried that much?

Then i went in the dining room, I saw Emma and her face really looks cheerless or serious.
Then Anna came up to me and ask
"Are you okay (Y/n)? You look a little sick."

"No I'm fine Anna and good morning." I replied and gave her an greetings.
My head feels a little bit of heavy.

Norman and the other kids went inside of the dining room.
He smiled and greet Emma and gets closer to her, seems like he whispered something to her.
After that they went in the storage to room to get something but it sounded like an excuse to talk about the situation.
I saw Ray putting some plates on the table and I approached him and greet him.
"Good morning Ray."

"Good morning (y/n)." He greet back then he continued. "Are you sick or something?"
Is my face really look that sick?
"Nah... I'm fine and I gotta go and help to prepare food." Then I walked away.

I went to the kitchen and seems like the foods ready.
Some healthy stuff like bread and soup.
Mama went in too then she noticed me.
I felt like my heart stopped.
I'm not scared of mama anymore but Conny face popped out in my mind.
But I immediately calm down.

"(Y/n)?" She made an worried face and asked "you look pale and are you feeling okay? Did you cry? "

"Mama... " I made a face that about to cry and hug mama, then I continued.
"I cried because I miss Conny already... Then I have a really scary dream last night."
"Is that so?" She said
"Don't worry I'm sure she's going to write a letter for you and you're probably going to see each other soon." She gave me a comfort smile.

"Okay..."
It's not acting, I'm telling the truth, I really miss Conny but Mama is the only one who's lying to me. Writing letters? Seriously...
Then mama check my forehead and said "oh dear... I think you got a fever (y/n)."
Ohh so that's why I feel heavy.
Anna is right.
Why did I catch fever  when the anime is officially starting?

"You should rest for today."

After breakfast we should be having an exam for the everyday test... Except for me who's lying in the bed and my fever seems got worse.

I never thought I'll gonna catch a fever in here but it's not bad... Because I can skip that test.

"(Y/n)?" Someone entered the room and it's Ray.

"See? I knew it, you caught a fever. Mama asked me to see what you doing and she said to put some wet towels on your forehead."
He touch my forehead to check the temperature then put an wet towel.
Seems like they already finished their test.

After he putted it, he sat down to the sit near the bed and opened a book to read

"Everyone is playing outside?" I asked.
"Yeah." He flipped the page of the book one by one then few minutes later.
"Norman and Emma, they found out and the plan worked but not entirely because it's only getting started." He said why looking at the book

"I guess so... Do you think mama suspect me?"

"Pretty much, I think she suspicious of everyone here including me." He look at me straight.
Ugh... My heads hurt.

"You should sleep."

"Alright... And ray? Before i go to sleep Can I ask you a favor?"

"Sure, what is it?"
