Pulling away from the kiss Lauren looked up at me and gave me a soft smile as we held on to each other. Nothing was being said because I don't think she or even I for that matter really know what to say. We have never kissed before so this was new to both of us, but truthfully I don't regret it. I don't regret her kissing me because it felt right. It felt good at that exact moment.
Cupping my face Lauren gently brushed my hair behind my ear as she looks into my eyes and smiled. "Should we talk about this?" She asked. I shook my head. "No I think we should just live in the moment." I told her. She giggles "ok."
After swimming around for a while we decided to watch the sunset while we sat in the sand. "I can't remember the last time I've seen a sunset look so beautiful." She whispers softly. I smiled as I looked at her. "It does look beautiful." I spoke softly. Turning to face me Lauren chuckles a little. "D you're not even looking at the sunset." She points out. "No I'm looking at something way better." I told her.
Her eyes grew wide and she busted out laughing. "Oh my gosh Dinah! You're adorable." She giggled. I laughed as I gently locked our fingers together. "As much as I'm loving this we have to go unfortunately. It's getting late." I told her. Lauren rolled her eyes but nodded as she stands up. "We need to do this again." She says. I agreed "yeah we do."
Arriving back to her home Lauren frowns a little as she just stared at her front door. "I know you don't want to go in there but the faster you go the faster you go to sleep and the faster I'll be here to come pick you up." I told her. She chuckles lightly as she hugs me. "You're amazing Dinah. Thank you." She said. I smiled "you're welcome Lo."

Waking up the next morning I just felt so happy. I was in such a good mood that I knew nothing would bring me down today and I'm pretty sure I have Lauren to thank for that. She was on my mine all night because I just couldn't stop thinking about our kiss. I have thought about it before but it didn't even come close to what I imagined. It was so much better then that. It was amazing actually.
"Do you have any plans today?" My mother asked.
I shrugs "I don't think so but I won't know until I actually get to school." I told her. "Well if you do call me so I can rearrange my plans." She said. I nodded "yeah of course."
After eating breakfast I quickly grabbed my bag and left to go get Lauren. I wonder how her night was. I really hope she had a good night and nobody did anything to ruin it for her because she deserves to have something good in her life.
"I was starting to think that you weren't coming." Lauren teased as she checked the time.
I rolled my eyes. "Oh please I'm only a minute behind schedule but I'm still here." I said. She giggles as she got in and buckles up. Looking at me a smile fell a little as she turned to focus on her feet and played with her fingers. "I don't know if this is wrong to do talk about but our kiss yesterday has been on my mind all night and I was wondering if I crossed the line." She said.
I shook my head. "You didn't cross the line Lo. In fact I've been wanting to do that for a while now but I didn't want to pressure you into anything." I told her. "So what do we do now? Where do we go from here?" She asked. I looked at her. "Anywhere you want."
