"Later, mom, dad!" You called out, slinging your brown leather satchel over your shoulder as you opened the front door. You were currently wearing F/C overalls, a white T-shirt, white knee-high stockings, and black sneakers. In your opinion, the perfect outfit for mobility.

"Good luck, sweetie!" Your mom called from the kitchen, beaming. "You've got this! Kick some butt out there!"

"You're gonna do great things, kiddo!" Your dad yelled from his office, the wheels on his chair rolling backwards so he could look at your from the doorway. A lazy grin grew on your face and you closed your eyes, giving your parents a thumbs up.

"You betcha!"

Today was the UA entrance exam. You honestly were fine with either passing or failing, because your philosophy was that things shouldn't always be taken so seriously. Exams didn't define whether you would do great things or not. Although, you were slightly confident in your abilities, and somewhere in the back of your mind you wanted to pass.

You sighed dreamily, staring up at the slowly moving clouds as you walked down the empty sidewalk. You wondered if somewhere up there, someone in the clouds was watching the ground. Your mind started to wander to your usual strange thoughts, and you didn't even notice when you collided with someone.

"Watch where you're fucking going, dumb bitch!" The person snapped. You snapped out of your trance, blinking.

"Huh?"

The person you bumped into was an attractive boy about your age, with spiky ash-blonde hair and vermillion eyes. A scowl was plastered onto his face, and he was glaring at you with intense distaste. He leaned in towards you, narrowing his eyes.

"I said, watch where you're fucking going, dumb bitch."

You were slightly taken aback, his harsh words cutting through the peaceful silence you previously had. You laughed, shaking your head as you walked away. "Man, never thought my day would start like this."

The boy was taken aback. No one had ever just brushed him off like that. Usually they would get angry, or scared, or...something other than that. He frowned, eyebrows furrowed as he watched you breezily walk down the street, mind continuing to think about the clouds and possible cloud people.

"What a fucking weirdo."

You hummed to yourself as you entered through the gates of UA, walking into the large, ambient room where the exam introduction would take place. There were already quite a few people there, either sitting quietly in the seats or attempting to mingle with one another. You sat in a seat towards the back, kicking your legs up onto the back of the empty seat in front of you. You wouldn't initiate a conversation with someone unless they spoke to you first.

As if on cue, a red-haired boy with sharp teeth walked up to you, grinning and extending a hand.

"Heya! Ejirou Kirishima."

You smiled airily at him and took his hand, shaking it. "Y/N L/N, your future wife."

Kirishima was taken aback for a moment, before he started to laugh. "Man, I think we're gonna get along pretty well! You're funny."

'Bold of you to assume I'm joking.' You jokingly thought to yourself, snickering. Kirishima sat down next to you, beaming.

"So what's your quirk?" He questioned, red eyes sparkling. "I'm assuming it must be pretty manly since you're trying to get into UA."

"Aah, nothing special." You hummed, taking your legs off the seat and crossing them. "I can emit gas from my body and control people like puppets if they inhale it. Basically a puppeteer quirk."

"Nothing special?! That sounds so cool!" Kirishima exclaimed, eyes wide. "I wish I had a quirk like that!"

You grinned at him, eyes crinkling up at the corners. "What about you? What's your quirk?"

"Mine's wayyy less cool than yours." Kirishima said, raising his arm slightly. The skin on it seemed to harden, and he rotated it. "I can harden any part of my body. It's useful, but not too flashy."

"Any part, huh?" You giggled, smirking. Kirishima blushed and playfully pushed you.

"Not like that! But anyways, my quirk is alright, but not really fit for a hero."

"Dude, your quirk is literally god-tier." You said, gesturing to his hardened arm. "Imagine all the things you could do with that. Bopping someone on the head...taking out villains...murdering babies..."

Kirishima burst out laughing, all traces of his quirk disappearing from his arm.

"I think we're gonna be pretty good friends, L/N."

The lights suddenly dimmed, and the pro hero Present Mic rose up from a podium.

"For all of you examinees just tuning in," The blonde cockatoo-haired man said loudly, grinning. "Welcome to the show! Everybody say hey!"

'Now everybody say way-ho, I said ah boom boom boom...' You thought, struggling to control your giggles.

The room was dead silent. You sighed, leaning your head back and staring at the ceiling. You wondered if they would let you eat while you were doing your exam.

"Great response!" Present Mic shouted, awkwardly staring out at all of the exam takers. "Then let's get down to business! I'll give you the rundown on the practical exam! Are...you...ready?! Yeaaaaaaah!"

Again, the room was quiet. You giggled slightly, turning to Kirishima. "Poor guy."

Kirishima grinned at you, before staring straight ahead as Present Mic began to talk about the exam. You sighed, tuning his voice out. This was boring. Your attention span was terrible, you had to admit. You started to daydream about fluffy cows, when you were snapped out of it.

"And you!" A navy blue-haired boy with glasses shouted, extending his hand in a chopping motion in your direction. "Get your head out of the clouds and take this exam seriously!"

The whole room was staring at you, and you stared blankly back at the blue-haired guy, shrugging your shoulders.

"Sorry, m'dude, but I couldn't care less." You sighed, leaning back in your seat. Kirishima stared at you with wide eyes, chuckling slightly. The boy that had told you off seemed taken aback, and he furrowed his brows before taking a seat again. You glanced over at the people he was sitting with, and your eyes landed on the angry blonde boy from earlier, who was glaring at you. You gave him an airy smile and held up a peace sign, to which he clicked his tongue and turned back around.

"A-anyways, we'll tell you which battle center you're at, and you'll head there immediately after!" Present Mic said, sweatdropping. You grinned, placing your arms behind your head and leaning back again.

This was going to be interesting.
