"I said what are you doing?!" Carl sits up before pushing me back, my brain at a loss to catch up to his point of view for a few seconds that I'm literally just sitting on my butt, looking at him lecture me with his stone cold blue eyes about personal space.

               Oh boy.

"Forget it." He gasps quickly, shaking his head while pulling himself up and hurrying to go to another part of the church when some more members start to wake.

               Come to think of it.

What the heIl was I doing?! One minute I'm cleaning his face from crumbs, why did I even do THAT...and the next I'm-

"Hey." I turn and see Jesse looking at me, his face leveling up with mine when he sits on the surprisingly clean floor, a yawn turning his mouth into a cave while I snap out of my need to see Carl go into the back room.

I want to stop looking to try and spot his expression but...Geez. Am I so disgusting that-Wait. Idiot! I'm a guy! No. I'm a girl, but he thinks-and I just-he-Well fvck.

               "Spes." Jesse whispers.

               "Yeah?"

               "I have some news."

Well it better be 'we're leaving' otherwise I'm going to throw a fit. I can't stand this dingy place anymore, and everyone here seems so weird.

Well...who all do I see? So far, out of everyone I know, there's Tara, Abraham, his girlfriend Rosita, Daryl, Carol, Carl, Rick, Sasha, her brother Tyreese, the Asian dude named Glenn, the preacher Gabriel, and...Michonne. The one's I don't have names for is the woman who was crying, this weird guy with a fvcking mullet that looks like it was run over by a truck, and a gangly black kid that looks about Jesse's age if not younger.

And finally, even though it doesn't matter, there's that dead girl.

I'm dying with curiosity, but since we're going to be packing our sh1t and fvcking off from this small joint, I don't need to worry about that.

"Aaaaahhhh!!!" I widen my eyes and frown at the door Carl went into not long ago, the unmistakable cry of a baby ringing in my ears alerts me to that direction.

Ok. Now we definitely need to go. Everyday, walking to and from classes in the middle of the mall, without fail, I'd remember having my second alarm, namely Evie Brent, a somewhat newborn creeper crawler baby, scream her tiny lungs out that I'd find myself running past the daycare all the time.

"Is..." Jesse slips out a word and everyone seems to go on the defensive with their eyes. "Is that a-a baby?"

And pretty much, I'm only now realizing that I'm on my own in thinking this is totally unfortunate while everyone else keeps quiet like there's some treasure chest to be guarded beyond that door I haven't been past yet.

-Carl's P.O.V.-

"Shhh..." I try to soothe my sisters crying, or rather shrieking, but I'm pretty sure, after constant midnight study, rocking her to sleep and so on, all the shushing in the world won't quiet or calm her.
