Taste Series #1: Bitter Taste of Epiphany

Chapter 15

"I already told you it's Uric Acid in Urine!" I looked at them and shook my head. I held my chest before taking a breathe so I can calm myself.

Elison looked at me like I did something strange on him. Nilakihan ko siya ng mata at umirap. I secretly bit my lower lip to stop myself getting irritates at him. Nasa likod ko yung ibang kagrupo namin. Nagtataka kung bakit siguro ako nagagalit.

Damn, this is my first time! I don't usually get angry in small things. I have so much patience! I just- nevermind.

"I'm sorry.." he look at me and sighed. "We got only one wrong and that's alright, right?" He smiled before looking at my back. "Right? Bawi nalang tayo."

I looked at him and gave him annoying smile. "It's not alright!" My voice raised. We are all in hallway and everyone look at me after i suddenly raised my voice.

Elison look at me, shocked. "What's wrong with you, Adley? Isa lang ang naging mali natin. Wala namang problema doon? Isa lang, hindi naman tayo nakakuha ng limang mali." He explained.

"You won't understand me." I told him.

Tinanggal ko ang lab coat kong suot bago ko sila tiningnan isa't isa at umalis sa harapan nila.I close my eyes and take a deep breath to calm down myself while walking towards to my locker room.

How they couldn't recognize it? Unang kita ko palang sa microscope alam ko ng uric acid in urine. I already told them to write the right answer and yet Elison didn't listened to me. Is it hard to believe me? Kaya minsan ayoko ng by group ang practical exam namin. I know I need to consulted their answer also but If I already knew the answer I wouldn't hesitate to tell them if their answer is wrong and mine is correct. Yeah, of course, Elison, right.

We are in the world of medicine, isang mali lang, madami ang apektado. Be serious, and knows the correct answer in every diseases you will encounter, or else welcome disgrasya.

"What happened between you and Elison," Isla asked me while she's sipping on her drink.

"Wala." Mabilis kong sagot.

Binalik ko sa bag ang dalang laptop pagkatapos kong magbasa ng ibang files na sinend samin ni Doc. Wala rin naman akong naintindihan sa binasa dahil masyado lumulundag ang isip ko dahil sa nangyari.

Gosh, is just a one wrong, alright! Adley, calm the fuck down.

"You sure?" She glance at me.

Tumango ako sa kaniya bago ako nagpaalam na aalis na. Kahit ayoko pa siyang iwan at gusto pa siyang makausap hindi ko magawa dahil naghahabol ako ng oras baka malate na naman ako. Mahirap na.

"Adley, I'll just send you some of my reviewer later, okay? Bye, ga. Ingat!" Erin waved her hands before leaving me alone.

Erin asked me too, about what happened. I just told her that is just  simple misunderstanding and she buy it!

Bago ako umuwing dorm dumaan muna akong KFC para bumili ng dinner at umuwi na pagkatapos. I'll check my email first before taking a bath.

I download the files that Erin sent me so I can review her reviewer also. Maganda ang pagkakaorganize niya. I can understand the flow of her works.  Nilabas ko sa bag yung daladala kong folder kung nasan yung iba kong handout. Nanghina ako ng makita ko kung gaano kadami yon. The paper already looks like an rainbow because of the different ink of ballpen that I used to underline, circle, and etc. Mas madaling matatandaan yung mga mahahalagang bagay na dapat inaaral.

"Ano ang iinumin ngayon?" Suzie asked us happily.

Humikab ako bago tumingin sa kaniya. Gabing gabi sinundo ako ni Maura sa dorm at sinabing doon nalang ako matulog sa condo niya and I said yes! Sino ako para tumanggi diba. Simula nung mangyari 'yon kay Maura hindi ko na kayang humindi sa kaniya.
