Khaliana woke up with an aching body. She was in one of the wood houses inside the training camp.
It was a small house with a wood bed at the side. She thought she would wake up in a cell because of what she did, she was surprised that they even treated her wounds, touching her cheeks and arms simultaneously. She moved her legs flatting it to the ground, but before she could stand, the door opened and Lily came out, she smiled at the sight of her but gone away when captain Benedict came after.
“Do you feel better now?”, he asked like nothing happened between them.
He is asking like the battle didn’t happen at all.
She didn’t answer him.
“Khaliana, the captain has something to tell you”, the soft voice of Lily calm her a bit.
“I will leave you for now”, she hold her not wanting her to go out and left her with him in a small room.
“It’s okay Khaliana, the captain will not bite”, she said smiling then walk out of the room.
“Just hear me out Khaliana,” the captain said firmly.
“What do you want to say?” “Just say it captain”, she said locking her eyes to him.
“You have the right to be angry on me, Khaliana”, he said.
“Of course I have the right, you cheated and used Lily in our fight”, she said balling her fist.
“I know, and I am sorry.” “It was just a test Khaliana”, her eyes now calmer after hearing him.
“Test?” “What do you mean?”, she asked.
“You have been asleep for two days Khaliana, Lily and I talked already and she understands why I did that because she can also feel it from you”, her eye brows were knitted, not understanding him.
“I see something in you Khaliana”, he started.
“And?”, she asked back, still confused on what he wanted to say.
“Just like Lily, I saw a different aura from you, a bright flaming aura to be exact”, she cannot comprehend it.
What he said is exactly the thing Lily is talking to her before. She is now confused.
“What’s the connection between that imagination of aura of yours to using Lily in our battle?”
“I have to use someone in order to let that aura come out”, “you care about her, you treasured Lily just like Lily treasured you, that is why I used her”. he released a long sigh.
“Why do you want my aura to come out?” she asked more confused. There is a seconds of silence before he answered the question.
“The king and I are best of friend”, she stopped him from talking.
“The King?” “Huh!” “The king, he is always the root of everything”, she said angrily.
“Do not misjudged him! You don’t know a thing about him. So, will you please stop acting like a child and just hear me out!?” he said stopping her from bad mouthing the king. She doesn’t want to be rude, but every time she heard the word “king”, her angry flares out. She became silent after that and Benedict starts talking again.
He sighed before continuing. “As I said, the king and I are best of friends, I salute him for everything he do to make the kingdom peaceful and abundant.”
“I don’t care about your opinion towards the king”, she thought to herself. She didn’t want to be scolded again so she just sit there and listen to him even if she doesn’t like it.
