She woke up in that small wooden house again.
She's in bed near the window. The sun's rays blinding her sight when she peeked outside.
"Those beast, were they all a dream?" she asked herself shaking her head.
She moved her legs to get up but she felt a sudden pain. She removed the blanket that is covering half of her body and discover the bandages that wrapped her legs.
"So, it was not a dream?" she collected all her thoughts wanting to remember what really happened. When she recollect with her thoughts she remembered the man who rescued her.
"Yeah, there's this man who helped me at the last minute, but I cannot barely remember him, I only saw his back", she told herself. Her thoughts were interrupted when the door opened and captain Benedict came out from it.
"Why are you always in this kind of situation Khaliana?" he started talking while closing the door.
She didn't reply, she's asking herself about that also.
"Why did I came up here?" she asked not entertaining the previous questions of the captain.
"Who brought me here?" she asked simultaneously. The captain stared at her with an intimidating look.
"Why did you end up in there Khaliana? Fighting those rogues all by yourself. Are you insane?" she stared back to him.
"Are we going to battle questions here without answers?" she replied.
"I told you, you must respect me Khaliana, I am the captain here, and you are our trainee", she didn't forget about it, but she wanted to be brave and not be bullied, that is why she is acting tough. However, this time she needs to lower her pride and follow his words.
"I'm.... I'm sorry captain, I don't want to be rude but I just can't stand it.
Being dragged in here is not a good memory and I don't know if my aunt and uncle is well and I am confused about what is happening in my life and I want to survive in this hell I am into" She lowered her voice. Silence crept between them.
The captain sighed before he started talking again.
"I knew you have been in a difficult situation since you arrived here, but it is not a valid excuse to be a brat to everyone." He said pulling a chair to face her.
"At least I am not a brat to Lily", she said amused. It made him chuckle a bit. The atmosphere between them became friendly and light.
"Now, tell me, why did you run all by yourself towards the forest yesterday?", she glance at him ready to answer his question but before she could open her mouth to speak, the door went wide opened, their attention focused on the tall masculine figure that came out from the door.
Her eyes examined the visitor's appearance. He was tall, taller than captain Benedict, his deep black eyes with a hint of green irises complemented his thick black lashes.
His eyes were captivating.
She never seen eyes like that before, it is pulling her like a black hole. His perfectly carved jawline made him more manly and gorgeous. His jet black hair so silky that her fingers want to comb them herself. He has a broad shoulders and biceps were peeping from his black v-neck shirt that covers his perfectly cultivated body.God took his time to make this man standing in front of her, she thought to herself. She didn't realized she is complementing him from her thoughts with her mouth open.
When captain gestured to greet the man, she came to her senses and composed herself again."Lieutenant General Geordo, greetings!" bowing his head with hands in his chest which signified that the man in front of him has higher status than him. She lowered her head not wanting to be noticed by the new comer.
