"I warn him to stop but he doesn't want to because blood is sweeter than sap."
"How do you know?" I ask
"Every vampire says so," he continues. "It maybe hard to transform but we gain, I feed once a month or two unlike blood suckers."
"Please Alex find another word for the blood sucker," frowning, "it brings bad energy, remember Alec means something much more to me," I cut him off.
He halts and stares at the ground as we stroll around the woodland. This made me find out which the best sap is and which is not for Alex. The tall mahogany had better sap because according to him, the taller and older the tree is, the sweeter the sap.
We even climbed the tallest tree with his help, teleporting and observed this view from the top. The woodland was indeed beautiful and covered a vast area of land, a great scenery if discovered.
"What lays ahead of here?" I ask, pointing beyond the woodland.
"A no mans land," he replies frowning as if it was a bad topic.
"And why is that?" inquisitive.
"There lays morbid vampires gone rogue. Their thirst has gone beyond the average vampire limit. Vondrich is one of them."
"Vondrich? As in Alec's man friend or brother?"
"Mentor."
"Mentor? Whose rogue, how's that possible?" I ask
"Alec is my half brother. Ten years ago we lost our father and we left our separate ways trying to cope up with the idea of having no guardian. We both didn't have mothers to lean on that's when Alec met Vondrich. He housed him for three years.
And in the fourth year when Vondrich transformed to rogue, he turned Alec. He says Alec accepted it. I didn't know the entire story by then till I met a Alec," inhaling. "The shy jolly Alec transformed to a bitter bold teenager.
I tried asking him we're he'd lived all those years but he just brushed me off when I confronted him at the mansion. He bit me. He turned me." Then he stays silent and sheds a tear,it dropping to his lap.
Sighing," Vondrich wasn't happy about it and wanted to get rid of him, saying its forbidden. Alec pleaded for his mercy in exchange for being his servant, errand boy. This hurt me so much, why couldn't he apologize to me instead. I had one year of suffering till I found out about the institution from a colleague the following year.
I deserted my miserable life for help unlike Alec who stayed here to serve Vondrich."
